Long before there was a dog food company, there was one very special dog who made us ask a simple question: Could we feed our dogs better?

That question became a mission. And that mission became Petaluma.

Today, as Leo celebrates his 14th birthday, we’re reminded that success isn’t measured in products sold or milestones reached. It’s measured in the years we get to share with the dogs we love.

Real dogs deserve real food. (And maybe a little art, too.) 🎨🐾

When Ruben first found Petaluma, he was simply looking for a food that would work for Lukas’ allergies. Three years later, he’s still feeding Petaluma and sharing Lukas’ story with beautiful hand-painted portraits.

We couldn’t think of a better person to help us celebrate the dogs who mean everything to us than someone who captures them with such care.

We’re excited to be partnering with @‌rubenstudiopet to shine a light on some of our favorite senior dogs this fall. Stay tuned… 🧡
