We fell in love with her for her structure — those blocky features had us from the very beginning. We just couldn’t stop staring at that face.

We fell in love with her temperament — she has been the easiest, gentlest puppy. She has the perfect blend of confidence, playfulness, curiosity, human focus, and overall calm. Even when she was tiny she never bit hard. Just so soft and easy-going. The kind of girl that makes everything feel calm.

And then there’s her genetics… y’all. If you haven’t noticed a theme, we are a sucker for red liver nose, and even more smitten with cream! We’re already so in L O V E. We have her animal genetics back and we’re smitten. Embark is going out soon and we’re pretty sure she’s going to land somewhere around 35% Golden Retriever.

Today she went home to the most amazing guardian family. Her new Mama is a Special Education Teacher and plans to have Bella therapy certified so she can go to school with her and help kids manage everyday situations while they’re away from home. It already feels like the perfect fit for her sweet, gentle nature, and we couldn’t be more grateful (or more excited) for the life she’s going to have with them.
She’s going to be so loved. And honestly? We couldn’t be happier.

Almost showtime for mama Sydney!
We’re in the final stretch with mama Sydney! Her temperature dropped to 98.7° tonight, so we’re expecting puppies anytime.

Yesterday we confirmed via x-ray that she has seven beautiful puppies growing. We’re so excited for her to step into motherhood — and we already know she’s going to be an absolute natural. In the video highlight of Brooklyn’s last litter, you can see Sydney right there in the whelping pen next to her own Mama and newborn siblings, already fully in her element.

Sydney is the perfect mix of devoted shadow and world-class snuggle bug. She follows her people everywhere, lives for endless cuddles, and is rarely without a favorite stuffy, bone, or chew in her mouth. Chill until it’s playtime… then the goofy energy (and that dazzling, toothy grin) comes out in full force. Quiet devotion + playful ninja energy = pure Sydney.

This Sydney x Felix litter is especially exciting. Like Foxie, these babies should have that blocky structure and a higher Golden Retriever percentage (around 35%). We’re expecting a mostly brown litter with some merle, phantom, and white markings. Estimated adult weight: 40–65 lbs.

Puppies should be ready to go home about a week before Christmas, and we can arrange for them to stay with us until closer to Christmas Day if needed.

When Sydney came into season in August, we knew we had to pivot. We’d originally planned something different, but after falling so hard for the blocky structure and overall look of Foxie’s “Marilyn’s Favorites” litter, we made the change and bred Sydney to the same sire—Felix.

Even better: Foxie and Sydney are full sisters from the same litter, so this pairing feels extra special. With Sydney due in just a couple of days, the excitement around here is real!

We’re expecting this litter to be primarily brown, with some Merle and phantom markings possible, plus a couple of red liver-nosed pups. Her ultrasound showed an estimated 4–5 puppies. Because of that smaller expected size, we’ll only be accepting one more deposit until we have the official count on Sunday.

We can’t wait to watch Sydney step into her role as mama. She already showed us her nurturing instincts by wanting to help with Brooklyn’s last litter, so we know she’s going to be absolutely amazing.

Meet Tilly Reese
Our hopeful future OMD mama is already stealing hearts at seven months old. With her beautiful wavy brown phantom coat, she’s as stunning as she is sweet.

Tilly is currently 30 pounds, and is set to help carry our mini and medium lines forward (pending OFA health testing and the perfect sire match).

Tilly loves her zoomies and playtime with her big brother Tater, but she’s also has a soft, calm side that makes her such a joy to be around. She’s a smart, fun-loving girl with so much love to give. I can’t believe Marilyn’s Favorites are eight weeks old and headed home this week. We missed seven-week pictures, but sometimes life asks you to be flexible, and things don’t always go as planned.
Faith went home a couple of days early, so enjoy this photo of her in the grass instead of our usual weekly photo shoot.
Each of these puppies is so lovely and wonderful in their own way. I can’t wait to watch every one of them flourish in their forever homes.
