C**t Starting Openings Available
I currently have a couple openings available in my c**t starting program.
My focus is on building a solid foundation that transfers to any discipline. Emphasis is placed on both mental and physical preparation, creating a horse with the confidence, understanding, and longevity to excel throughout its career.
Every horse is an individual, and every program is tailored to that horse and their timeline—no cookie-cutter approach here. My goal is to develop a soft, willing horse that stays mentally connected to the rider, uses its body correctly, and becomes a capable lifelong partner.

A solid training program doesn’t start in the saddle.
It starts in the feed room, and with the quality of care behind it.
You can have the best intentions, the best techniques, and big goals for your horse, but without a proper feed program and consistent, high-level care at the center of it all, you’re building on an unstable foundation.
Proper nutrition fuels muscle development. It supports joint health. It regulates energy. It impacts focus, recovery time, attitude, and overall soundness.
And quality care goes far beyond what’s in the bucket.
Clean stalls. Consistent turnout. Routine schedules. Attention to detail. Watching for the small changes before they become big problems.
When a horse is underfed, overfed, inconsistently managed, or lacking proper care, it shows up in the work. You’ll see it in their stamina, their ability to concentrate, their recovery after a hard session, and even in their willingness to try.
At our place, training, nutrition, and care all go hand in hand. Conditioning isn’t just about miles and repetitions, it’s about making sure their bodies and minds are supported so they can build strength correctly and stay confident in the process.
A well-fed horse, cared for at a high standard, is clearer in the mind, stronger in the body, and better prepared for whatever discipline they’re headed toward.

The base of our feeding program is plenty of high quality alfalfa hay and then we supplement with Triple Crown Feed and Solo Select Products 100% flax oil

Spring is right around the corner, which means it’s about that time to start thinking about getting those two-year-olds going.
Here, we focus on more than just saddling one up and sending them around the arena. Starting a c**t is about building a foundation both mentally and physically. It’s about confidence, willingness, understanding, and setting them up to succeed long term.
Every horse in my program gets quality care, proper conditioning, and a training approach tailored to them as an individual. The goal isn’t just to “get them going,” it’s to prepare them for whatever discipline you choose.

This is what it’s all about.
Happy clients. Safe, confident horses. And relationships that last.
I put 90 days of training on this horse last year, and this picture was taken after he had been off for nearly two months due to weather. That kind of consistency after time off is a direct result of a solid foundation built through trust, confidence, and correct preparation.
Moments like this are why I do what I do—creating horses that are safe, reliable, and enjoyable partners, and supporting relationships between horses and riders that truly last.

This morning, I was reading a Bible story to my daughter and the story happen to be about Leah How she was considered ugly and nobody wanted her yet God saw something else in her and blessed her and used her. Showed her her purpose in this world. I couldn’t help but think about our Leah, this somewhat ugly little filly that nobody wanted, that was scared and outcast. Yet, Jessica chose her and gave her a different chance of life, and her daughter just happened to name her Leah. And in reading that Bible story to my daughter, I couldn’t help but see the resemblance and how fitting Leah’s name is. The Bible story, and our Leah’s story, just made me think that it doesn’t really matter where we come from, what our past is, where we are,or what we look like on the outside. God can use us. He can change our life around and gives each one of us a purpose. He can, and will, take something thats ugly and nobody wants, and make it beautiful and full of purpose.
