At almost 28 years old we had to say goodbye to one of our retired lesson horses.
My name is Lydia, y’all might or might not know me, I help with lessons on Thursdays. I’m not normally the one who post on here for Phyllis but I felt as if I should be the one who made this post.
Scarlett came to Phyllis when she was 6 years old after being passed around quite a bit because she never was the friendly type, you really had to understand her and how she show affection. She was definitely a typical ”mare”.
I’ve been here for 21 years, and of those 21 years, Scarlett and I have been very close for 19 years. Sometimes certain animals are just more than an animal. They become family, her and I had something I truly hope everyone finds in their life. She wasn’t most peoples favorite but I’m beyond grateful she chose me as her person. We did so many things together over the years, horse shows, trail rides , midnight ba****ck rides. Loosing her has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to do but I am grateful for the time I got with her. I hope you all can see how great of a hose she truly was through the pictures and videos I will post of her.
