I had the pleasure of spending some drop-in time with this handsome little guy this week.

Give him a soft, fluffy blanket, a cozy spot on the couch, and someone willing to cuddle, and he’s one happy camper!

And Mom, a little confession… I may have taken that fluffy blanket off your couch and put it down for Tucker. And I may have left it there. Why? Because he liked it and he asked nicely. 😜

🐾 Willie Nelson… There’s More to This Boy Than His Morning Walks! 🐶💙

One thing about Jack’s House… plans can change on a dime! When a family emergency calls pet parents away unexpectedly, we do what we have to do to make sure their four-legged family members are taken care of. And sometimes that means calling in a little backup!

A HUGE thank you to Denise Bagwell with Safe Haven Coastal Home Services and her son Jack for stepping in and helping with Willie this week! ❤️🐾 It truly takes a village sometimes, and I’m so grateful for fellow pet sitters who have each other’s backs!

Now, let’s talk about Mr. Willie Nelson! 😂

I’ve been walking this handsome boy daily for quite some time, but this week, with our regular walks turning into walks/drop-in visits, I got to know a whole different side of him!

Turns out Willie is quite the attention-demanding, ball-loving, PLAY PLAY PLAY kind of guy! 🎾😂 And when he’s ready for your attention, trust me, he’ll let you know!

What’s funny is how different he is throughout the day. Our morning walks are all business… LET’S GO, LADY! I’ve got places to sniff and potties to get done! 😂 But come afternoon, he’s perfectly happy to take a leisurely stroll.

It’s been so much fun getting to know Willie beyond our usual morning routine. Same sweet boy, just a few more layers to that personality than I realized! 💙

And that’s one of the things I love about what I do. Sometimes a change in routine gives you the opportunity to get to know these pups in a whole new way.

Lucy and I are just getting to know each other, she keeps one eye on her toys and the other on ME! 👀😂

She’s thinking, “Listen, lady, this is our first time hanging out. You seem nice and all, but I’m gonna keep my eye on you until I figure you out!” 🤣🐾

That’s okay, Miss Lucy! We’ll be besties before you know it! ❤️

And of course, Mom got the full report! Everything from Lucy’s playfulness and zoomies to her potty habits! Yep, we cover it ALL at Jack’s House! 💩😂

MISSION: FEED THE CATS.

Location: Undisclosed residence, Oak Island, NC.

Agent: Jack’s House Pet Sitting.

Everything was going according to plan. Cats fed. Water checked. Litter boxes handled. Mission nearly complete.

Earlier in the day , I had spotted what appeared to be a cat-shaped surveillance camera on the kitchen counter.

No concerns. I’m a professional. I can work under surveillance. 😂

But tonight just as I prepared to exit the premises…

🔴 RED DOT ON THE WALL.

IT MOVED.

THEN IT MOVED AGAIN.

My brain immediately went into tactical mode.

“Do I duck? Hit the floor? Who’s operating this thing?!”

Meanwhile, the cats were probably sitting there thinking, “We’ve finally broken the pet sitter.” 🤣

Turns out, it wasn’t a security threat.

It was a CAT TOY.

Mission accomplished. Cats entertained. Pet sitter mildly traumatized.

Another successful operation at Jack’s House. 🐾😂

🐾 Never a dull moment at Jack’s House! 😂

So there we were, Marlin and I, enjoying our last walk of the evening on a chilly, windy night here on Oak Island. We were actually running a little to build up some body heat when all of a sudden… SNAP! HIS LEASH BROKE! 😳🐕

OH. MY. GOD. Now what?!

I stopped, called Marlin, and THANK GOODNESS this boy listens! He came right back to me, and I grabbed his collar. Whew! Crisis number one avoided!

Now I’m standing there holding onto Marlin, running options through my head , Mark and Julie lived right down the road, they were first on my list! Amy and Matt were second!

📞 “Hey Mark, you home?”
“Yep!”
“Any chance you could bring me Gabby’s leash so I can get this pup home safely?”

And just like that, Mark to the rescue! 🦸‍♂️🐾

I cannot thank him enough for coming to our rescue because the alternative could have been me carrying Marlin home… and THAT would’ve been quite the sight! 🤣💪

Marlin made it home safe and sound, and I learned a valuable lesson tonight.

There’s now an EXTRA LEASH in my dog-walking bag! Lesson learned! ✅

Sometimes things happen that you just can’t predict, but keeping a cool head, having a backup plan, and knowing some pretty awesome people sure makes a difference!

Today was all about making new friends!

First up, Leo, the handsome Golden Retriever, and then there’s Mr. Bean, the infamous kitty! 🐈😂 I’ve heard plenty about Mr. Bean, so it was finally time to meet the legend himself!

Both boys were absolute sweethearts!

Looking forward to lots more visits with these two handsome fellas!

🐾❤️ Meet Izzy & Maverick! ❤️🐾

Y’all, have you ever seen two cuter little puppies?! And may I add, they are SO well-behaved! 🥰 I absolutely love getting to drop in on these two little sweethearts, welcome to Jack’s House!

Their mama happens to be a friend of mine and the hardworking lady behind 3Strands meal prep 💪🥙

She spent her day making everyone else’s life a little easier by preparing delicious meals (mine included!), so I’m hoping Jack’s House was able to make HER day a little easier by taking care of these two cuties! 🐶❤️

🐾 JACK’S HOUSE… KEEPING AN EYE ON EVERYTHING! 👀🍑

When I tell my clients, “I’ll keep an eye on things while you’re gone, and if I notice anything out of the ordinary, I’ll let you know,” I MEAN IT! 😂

Sprinklers not working? I’ll notice. 💦
Pipes burst in the winter? I’m on it! 🏠
Something suspicious happening with your dog’s little bum? 🍑👀

Apparently, I’m checking that too! 😂

While doing daily walks for Laila, I noticed something just wasn’t quite right with her little backside when she was doing her business. 💩

So, the next day, I did what any dedicated pet sitter would do… I became a p**p paparazzi and got video evidence for Mom, praying no one was watching!📹😂

Well, Laila went to the vet today, and it turns out she has a re**al polyp and he was impressed that I noticed it. The best part, she’s going to be ok❤️!

Don’t worry, I’ll spare everyone the photographic evidence of her little bum. You’re welcome! 🤣

But all joking aside, this is exactly what I mean when I say Jack’s House is about so much more than feeding, walking, and scooping p**p.

Whether it’s something going on with your home or something unusual with one of your four-legged family members, I’m paying attention. And if something doesn’t look right, you’re going to hear from me!

Because sometimes it’s the little things we notice that make a BIG difference. ❤️🐾

🎶🐾 Happy 5th Birthday to Willie Nelson! 🎂❤️

Well, Mother Nature decided to rain on Willie’s birthday parade today, but that’s okay! A little rain never stopped a Golden Retriever from having a good time! ☔😂

Willie got a soggy dog birthday walk, a new sea turtle toy 🐢, and a homemade apple and peanut butter birthday cake, complete with peanut butter Greek yogurt frosting!

And before anyone asks if the cake was any good, it went through a very rigorous quality control process at my house. Buddy and Hank volunteered to lick the spatula, and I’m happy to report it was Lab approved and Dingo cleared! 😂🐾

But the best part was getting to celebrate Willie with his family. ❤️ These are the moments that make what I do special. It’s never just about walking dogs or filling food bowls. It’s about the relationships and getting to be part of their lives, even for the little celebrations.

Happy 5th birthday, Willie Nelson! Here’s to many more trips around the sun, beach walks, salty kisses, and adventures with you and your family!

Can someone please explain to me why I even bother washing anything in this house?! 😂🐾

Fresh sheets straight out of the dryer? BUDDY’S!

Freshly washed blanket for the couch? ALSO BUDDY’S!

Nothing stays clean, nothing stays hair-free, but look at that face. ❤️🐾

I guess I’ll just keep doing laundry so Buddy can enjoy his fresh linens. 😂
