I'll start by saying that
this post isn't about anyone in particular,
and given the frequent misinterpretations,
I'd like to emphasize that.

Nevertheless,
I've noticed a disturbing tendency
to attribute problems to dogs.
Furthermore,
I often see
traits resulting from
a specific breed's predispositions
being turned into flaws,
and ways to mitigate them are sought.

"Difficult dog" is a relative term,
and I understand that.
We're all different,
with different resources,
deficits,
and experiences –
that's what makes something difficult
different for each of us.

The problem is that
you need to find some balance
and consider this before labeling your dog
aggressive,
controlling,
reactive,
or fearful.

It might hurt,
but you don't have to
attribute nonexistent problems to your dog
to create valuable content.
Moreover, when you suddenly become
an Instagram expert because of this,
it's unfair to other owners,
their dogs,
and the entire industry.

Dogs today are victims of overinterpretation
and elaborate ways to achieve balance.
The truth is
that working with dogs favors
extensive and accurate analysis,
but simple solutions.

I work with a variety of dogs;
some receive help after a few sessions,
while others regain comfort only after a dozen or even more.
Are some dogs easier, then?
Yes.
Do I think there are dogs
that have been stuck in a “training” for years
when they could have been helped in a few months?
Yes.
Although living with a dog is a lifestyle,
and although there are problems
that can't be completely solved
but rather require proper management,
I believe that
there are people
who are constantly looking for more problems in their dogs.

There used to be a trend for perfect dogs.
Today, there's a trend for difficult dogs —
it touches hearts,
strengthens the owner's authority,
and to some extent,
gives permission to speak on topics
that should perhaps be left to specialists.

If specialists with extensive experience
and a track record of success,
think twice before commenting on dog-related topics,
why is the owner of a "difficult" dog
the first to educate others?

Just food for thought 🫶

❤ ️ Where are all the dog owners
who struggle with their dogs? 👇

There you are! 👋

I bet you have a great dog
and you try to provide them with the best life…

The problem is that s/he doesn't always listen to you…
Or, s/he pulls on the leash, barks & lunges
so you can't enjoy walks with them.

Here's the bad news first…

They won't change on their own.
And your life with them
will just be harder and more difficult.
They won't be around forever…
which is why you need to start taking action, now.

The good news?

I believe in you and your dog.
I can see possibilities
that you might not see quite yet 🫶

a better relationship with your dog -

…working with a dog
doesn't depend on the weather,
season,
or time of day.
There are no shortcuts.

It can't be
that the rules only apply to one or two selected walks,
or that they apply during training sessions
but not during walks.
The rules have to be the same everywhere.

If your dog starts pulling on the leash,
regardless of what time you get up
or whether you're in a hurry to get to work,
the exact same rules apply in the morning
as in the afternoon.
Otherwise, it won't work 🫶
