West Virginia is in the highest category for emergency room visits, and yet I still have clients who refuse to use flea and tick protection on their animals. If I could stress nothing else this year to protect your family, it’s to do something to protect yourselves against ticks.

Incident rates have been highest in the Northeast — from Maine south through West Virginia and Virginia.
