FOZZY IS STILL HERE! 🐾❤️

And y'all... I am officially out of excuses for why! 😭

Look at him. Just LOOK at him. This handsome dude is pushing 100 pounds now. One hundred. 🫨

Which is pretty incredible when you remember that he walked through our door weighing just 62 pounds. You could see every rib. Every hip bone. Every bit of neglect he'd been forced to endure.

He wasn't skinny because somebody fell on hard times. He was starving.

And now? Now he's healthy. Now he's strong. Now he's neutered. Now his coat shines. Now he runs and plays and carries toys around like life is finally worth getting excited about again.

And yet... He's still waiting. Waiting for somebody to see him. Waiting for somebody to realize that underneath all that Shepherd/Husky energy is a dog who just wants to belong somewhere.

Fozzy is not a background decoration. He's not the kind of dog that's happy spending his life sitting quietly in a kennel.

This boy wants a LIFE. He wants adventures. He wants truck rides. He wants somebody to throw a ball until their arm falls off. He wants to supervise yard work. He wants to know where you're going when you stand up. He wants to be your dog.

And honestly, rescue life is getting old for him. You can see it. He's grateful. He's happy. He's loved here. But this isn't his forever.

Every day he watches other dogs come and go while he's still waiting for someone to choose him. And I think it's time somebody did.

✔️ Almost 100 pounds of handsome
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Loves people
✔️ Loves kids
✔️ Loves adventures
✔️ Loves car rides
✔️ Loves toys
✔️ Smart as a whip
✔️ Bonds deeply with his people

• No cats • No chickens • No small animals • Bigger female dog friends preferred • Structure, exercise, and someone willing to invest in him

What he gives back is worth every bit of it.

The thing about dogs like Fozzy is they don't just become pets. They become your sidekick. Your shadow. Your best friend. Your reason for laughing when life gets heavy.

And after everything this boy has survived, I'd really like to see him spend the rest of his life being somebody's favorite thing in the world.

Rusty is officially missing his factory-installed equipment. Welcome to the no nuts club buddy! ✂️😂

This handsome dude got neutered yesterday and is now accepting applications for his next career move. Preferably one that involves couches. And snacks. And air conditioning. And absolutely zero coyotes.

When Rusty got here, all we really knew was that he was a retired coyote hunter who had spent most of his life either working or sitting on a chain. For the first four years of his life, that was his job. Hunt coyotes. Sit on that chain. Repeat.

The scars on his face and body tell that story better than I ever could. This boy was fearless. Tough as nails. The kind of dog that never backed down. But what nobody told us was how incredibly SWEET he is.

What we know now is that somebody is about to get one heck of a dog. ❤️❤️

This boy has moved right into the house and acted like he's been waiting on his invitation his entire life. No accidents. No destruction. No drama.

He has his own room, keeps it clean, rides great in the car, and is just genuinely happy to be included in whatever is going on.

The thing that gets me is how FAST he adapted. Like buddy... were you secretly a house dog this whole time? Because you're awfully good at this. ❤️

He's around 4 years old, fully vetted, freshly neutered, and ready to find his people.

And honestly, Rusty deserves the kind of home where nobody cares whether he can hunt a coyote. A home where the biggest expectation placed on him is deciding whether he wants to nap on the couch or on the bed. He's earned that.

📍Located near Kirksville, Missouri but travel arrangements can be made for the right fit!

If you're looking for a good dog, stop scrolling. Because this one is REALLY good.❤️ Please share so we can find his happily ever after!

❤️🐾 ROADTRIP RONNIE MADE IT HOME. 🐾❤️

A couple months ago, Ronnie was just another retired hunting hound whose future was up in the air.

His owner fell on poor health. Life changed. And through no fault of his own, Ronnie needed somewhere to land.

And man... what a good boy he's been.

This sweet dude has been one of the easiest dogs we've had in a long time. Happy. Affectionate. Grateful for everything. Food, toys, attention, a soft bed he could immediately destroy and scatter all over creation. 😂

We joked from the beginning that the rumor about not being able to turn a hunting hound into a house dog was fake news.

Well... Roadtrip Ronnie just proved it.

This handsome boy is officially HOME in St. Paul, Minnesota. ❤️

Not only did he make the trip, but by last night he was already sleeping in bed with his new dad.

Not on the floor. Not in a crate. Not outside.
In the bed!!! 🤣❤️ Honestly, that's exactly where he belongs.

For most of his life, Ronnie knew hunting, kennels, outdoor pens, and whatever job humans needed him to do.

Now he gets to just be somebody's dog. And that's my favorite part. Because Ronnie did everything people ever asked of him.

Now it's his turn. His turn to be spoiled. His turn to be loved. His turn to get the comfy bed, the snacks, the adventures, and all the attention he can handle.

These are the happy endings we all hope for.

The ones that make the vet bills, the transport miles, the muddy shoes, the chewed-up dog beds, and the heartbreak worth it. ❤️‍🩹

So here's to Roadtrip Ronnie. 👏🎉

A retired hunting hound who crossed state lines and found exactly what he deserved on the other side.

A family. A home. And somebody to share a bed with. ❤️🐾

Happy tails, buddy. We couldn't have asked for a better ending. ❤️🐾

🚨 WHOSE DOG IS THIS? 🚨

I've gone back and forth on how to write this because honestly, this whole thing has felt surreal from the very beginning.

On May 29th, I was driving through Adair County on Highway 149 just south of Connelsville when I noticed this dog standing in a yard across from Bethel Ridge Road on Hwy 149N, she was on the Sizemore property. What caught my attention wasn't that there was a loose dog. Around here, that unfortunately isn't unusual.

What caught my attention was her face.

She looked absolutely terrified.

There was a man standing right there in the yard, within arm's reach of her, yet she looked like she wanted to be anywhere else in the world. At the time, I had no idea if she belonged there, if she had just wandered onto the property, or if she was already on whatever journey she was about to take. I kept driving, but something about her stuck with me.

Several hours later, I was headed back through the area. I wasn't looking for her. I wasn't expecting to see her again.

But there she was.

More than 9 miles farther north along Highway 149, south of Martinstown and north of Shibleys Point.

Same dog. Same scared expression. Still moving north.

That was the moment I realized she wasn't hanging around a neighborhood. She was traveling. But she wouldn't stop, She was trying to get away from me by heading through the fields into tree lines. I didn't want to push her into unsafe territory so I let her go on her way, She definitely acted like she knew exactly where home was.

The next day I went back to look for her. Nothing.

Over the next several days, sighting after sighting started coming in. Reports placed her moving north from Adair County into Putnam County and eventually into Schuyler County. People reported seeing her near Graysville, Livonia, Glenwood, along Highway 136, on gravel roads, blacktops, in fields, under shade trees, and near bridges and creek crossings. Every report told the same story. She was still walking. Still surviving. Still going somewhere. Still not looking for help or wanting to be bothered.

At one point I drove over 230 miles in a single day looking for her. I checked roads, bridges, culverts, creek crossings, and every place I thought a tired dog might stop. I never saw her.

Then yesterday I got the call. I made the fastest 45-mile drive of my life. After what appears to have been a journey through three counties and more than 40 miles, she has finally been trapped safely. On Route U south of Lancaster Missouri. Now she's here. Safe. Fed. Hydrated. And just simply resting.

And she's making it very clear that we are not friends yet. 😅

She's a mature bully-type girl, likely an XL Bully. This is not a young dog. The abrasion on her nose appears to have happened during her travels and became much more pronounced as the days went on.

Now we're trying to solve the mystery.

Who is she?

If the gentleman from the Sizemore property across from Bethel Ridge Road happens to see this post, I'd genuinely love to hear from you. Did she belong there? Had she just shown up? Had you seen her before? You may hold an important piece of her story.

And if this is your dog, if you recognize her, or if you know where she came from, please contact us immediately.

Please share this far and wide throughout Adair, Putnam, and Schuyler Counties and even beyond.. Dogs don't usually travel through three counties for no reason.

Somewhere, somebody may know exactly who this girl is.

And after following her journey for the past week, I'd really love to know where she thought she was going. And at her age, we believe she's looking for someone who she misses dearly.

🐾 FOUND DOG! OWNER SEARCH CONTINUES

Before anyone asks... No, she is not available for adoption. Not yet.

This beautiful bully girl is safe with us, but we owe it to her to make every reasonable effort to find out where she came from.

She was first reported several days ago after showing up south of Brashear Missouri in the Gibbs area.

What's interesting is that before she ever arrived there, she was reportedly seen near the Salt River bridge area days earlier.

Nobody knows how she got there. Nobody knows where she came from. Nobody has come forward looking for her. She was wearing a collar but had no tags and no microchip.

When she first found safety, she was incredibly thin and absolutely covered in fleas and ticks. Despite all of that, she is one of the sweetest little dogs imaginable.

She adores people. She follows humans everywhere. She acts like she has lived in a house before. And she has quickly decided that personal space is completely unnecessary. ❤️

Could she have been abandoned? Maybe. Could she have been stolen and dumped somewhere? Maybe. Could there be a family missing her right now? Maybe.

The truth is, we simply don't know. So for now, she will remain on stray hold while we continue searching for answers.

If you recognize this dog or know where she came from, please send a private message.

Please share.

Somewhere out there is the rest of this girl's story, and we'd really like to find it. ❤️🙏

🐾❤️ ADOPTED ❤️🐾

Sometimes you just know. 🥰

You know before the paperwork is signed. You know before the leash changes hands. You know before the goodbye hugs are over. And today was one of those days.

Patricia officially found her forever family. ❤️

Not only did they come excited to meet her last week, they checked in daily... they were soo excited to have a new best friend. The kind of excited that can't be faked. The kind that makes you smile the whole drive home.

Before the day was even over, Patricia was already doing what Patricia does best:

✔ Supervising couch time
✔ Going for walks
✔ Soaking up attention
✔ Making herself completely at home

And judging by these photos, I don't think she's planning on giving them a choice. 😂

This sweet little mama survived raising puppies, watching every one of her babies get adopted, and then waiting patiently for her own turn.

Well today was her turn! No more waiting. No more wondering when someone would choose her.

She has her people now. ❤️

Thank you to Patricia's adopters for opening your hearts and your home to this wonderful little dog. We have a feeling she's going to make you laugh every single day and love you with her whole heart. Also thank you for the homemade cookies too! They were amazing! 🤤

Happy tails, Patricia.

Go be spoiled rotten. 🐾💕🏡

🐾 TODAY WE'RE TALKING ABOUT MOKEY 🐾

Look at this face. 😍 Seriously. How is this dog still available? ❤️

Mokey is one of those dogs that just makes life more fun. He's always happy. Always ready for an adventure. Always convinced that whatever you're doing is the coolest thing in the world and he should definitely be included.

Need a hiking buddy? He's in. Need a road trip companion? He's buckled up before you can grab your keys. Need somebody to greet you like you've been gone for 6 years when you took the trash out 30 seconds ago? Mokey has that covered too.

At around a year old, he's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, on preventatives, housetrained, and somehow way easier than a young dog with this much personality has any right to be.

The best way I can describe him is this: Mokey is the dog that reminds you to have fun.

He doesn't spend any time dwelling on the fact that people let him down before he got here. He doesn't look backwards. He just keeps moving forward with that giant smile on his face, convinced that the best part of his life is still ahead of him. And honestly? I think he's right. ❤️

Fair warning though... once you do, you're probably taking him home. 😂🐾

🐾 WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY: IT'S BIGGY ❤️

For 13 months, Biggy has watched other dogs come and go and that just doesn't seem fair.

Puppies get adopted. New arrivals find homes. Dogs that came long after him pack their bags and leave. And somehow...Biggy is still here.

At 6 years old and 125 pounds, Biggy is the definition of a gentle giant. He loves car rides, loves his people, and is always happy to be included in whatever adventure comes next.

He's neutered, fully vaccinated, current on preventatives, and more than ready to find a family of his own.

Biggy needs a home without cats or chickens, and slow introductions to other dogs work best for him. He loves other friendly dogs, and with this one you've got a best friend for life. Also, he is a true gentleman inside and out, he keeps things spotless and can totally be trusted in the house alone. No messes, no accidents, no destruction. No kennel or crate necessary.. and look at him...talk about cheap home security 🤣

Honestly, we don't understand how this boy has been overlooked for so long. Just look at him.

One hundred and twenty-five pounds of loyalty, personality, and love... hanging out the window like he's already headed home.

🐾 TUESDAY'S TREASURE: RUSTY 🐾

Somewhere out there is a family looking for a dog exactly like Rusty.

They just haven't found him yet. ❤️

Rusty is around 4 years old and is a recently retired coyote hunter who is finally getting a chance to experience the good things in life.

For most of his life, when he wasn't hunting, he lived on a chain. The scars on his body tell the story of a dog who worked hard and never complained.

Today, things are better.

Rusty is currently safe in a foster home where he has a fabulous fenced-in yard to stretch his legs, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy being a dog. But at the end of the day, he's still waiting. And his foster home is very temporary as they can only keep him for a few more weeks.

He's just patiently waiting for his own couch. Waiting for his own people. Waiting for his own happily ever after.

And honestly? He's earned it.

This handsome hound is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and incredibly appreciative of every kindness shown to him. He loves attention, enjoys the simple things, and has that classic hound charm that makes people fall in love. And he's great with other friendly dogs!

He's up to date on vaccines and preventatives and is scheduled to be neutered on June 15th.

📍 Located near Kirksville, Missouri
🚗 Transport can be arranged

Rusty survived the hunting life.

Now we'd love to show him the family life.

Please share and help us find this beautiful boy the home he's been waiting for. A fenced yard is nice but a forever home would be even better. ❤️

🐾 Surgery day: Complete. 👏 Fozzy is currently questioning my loyalty. Patricia is pretty sure she deserves extra snacks for her bravery. Both are resting comfortably and doing well. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who supports these dogs and helps make their care possible. We couldn't do it without you. Send all the good vibes and prayers for speedy recoveries! Patricia is getting adopted on Thursday and Fozzy aka Fozwald is still patiently waiting. Please reach out if you're secretly in love with him. ❤️
