🐱 THE CATS HAVE SPOKEN. AND THEY WIN. 🐶

August was all about finding homes during NBC's Clear the Shelters campaign, and what a month it was!

🎉 159 animals found their forever homes!

And despite the fact that we’ve been focusing on our upcoming Woofstock event in September … the CATS stole the show in August. 😹

🐱 118 cats adopted
🐶 37 dogs adopted
🦦 2 ferrets adopted
🐰 2 rabbits adopted

That’s 159 second chances, 159 happy endings, and 159 reasons to celebrate.

We’re so grateful to everyone who opened their heart and home, shared an adoption post, visited the shelter, or helped spread the word during Clear the Shelters. You made a difference.

And to our cats: well played. 🏆🐱

Woofstock may be coming… but August belonged to the cats. 💙 Ginger and Duke are still waiting. Stop in to visit and find your new family member!

Rescue Village is closed to the public Tuesday and Wednesday (9/1-9/2) for parking lot repaving. We will resume regular hours on Thursday.

🐾 Woofstock Vendors: a few spaces are still available!

Join us for Woofstock 2026 on September 20 at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field. Showcase your artwork, business, products or services to thousands of people and be part of one of Northeast Ohio’s favorite dog festivals.

Vendor spaces are limited and available through September 10 (or until they’re filled).
