Three mini horses. One big vet bill!
We seized three miniature horses from terrible neglect. Jorie, Anne, and Louise spent days in the equine hospital getting emergency care.
Jorie and Anne survived. Sadly, Louise didn't. 😢

We know horses aren't the kind of animals who curl up with you on the couch like a dog or cat. But these little minis are awfully cute. And sassy.

The first vet bill is here: $2,763.38. Yikes!
We're looking for 111 people to give just $25 each. That's enough to pay the bill before the others arrive!
Will you help?
Please give $25 TODAY at https://givebutter.com/RescueVillage_EmbraceCLE_2026

🐾 Shepherd lovers, meet Alfred! ❤️

At 5 years old, this handsome Shepherd mix has a powdered-sugar face, a big goofy personality, and plenty of love to give. He enjoys attention and is ready to find a home where he can be someone’s favorite guy.

Alfred came to Rescue Village when another shelter ran out of space. He's been waiting over 3 months with us for someone to notice him. He’ll need an adopter who is patient to give him time to trust and transition properly. Alfred is good with other dogs, but we are unsure how he is with cats.

🏡 His adoption fee has been paid for by a kind donor. Could Alfred be your guy? Visit www.rescuevillage.org/adopt to learn more about Alfred!

And, while you’re helping us find Alfred's person, you can help other animals get their chance, too. Rescue Village is competing in the EmbraceCLE Challenge through October, and every donation helps provide care and support for animals waiting for families of their own and gets us closer to winning a bonus of $15k from Embrace!

Something is wrong with this picture.

This is Betty. Look at that face. Those blue eyes. Those enormous ears. And what you can’t see in this picture is her wonderful curly tail.

Betty has been at Rescue Village for more than 90 days. And we just can’t figure out why this sweet girl is still here.

She’s a really lovely dog. She’s sweet, pretty low-key, and knows how to play a little fetch. She could use some additional training, but she has a wonderful personality. We’ve even taken her to FOX 8, where she’s handled being a television star beautifully.

We think Betty is going to absolutely love living in someone’s home.

There is one complication. Betty is a special adoption because of circumstances surrounding her previous ownership. Her adoption requires approval from a Rescue Village manager. That’s an extra step in the process, but it’s about making sure Betty is protected and placed in a good home. It isn’t a reflection of her personality.

And we don’t want that extra step to keep this wonderful dog waiting any longer than she already has.

Somewhere out there is a home for Betty. We just need to find it.

In the meantime, we’re going to keep taking good care of her. And that’s where you can help, even if you can’t adopt Betty today.

Rescue Village is participating in the 2026 EmbraceCLE Community Challenge, and we’re competing for one of three top prizes from Embrace Pet Insurance:

* 🥇 First place: $15,000
* 🥈 Second place: $10,000
* 🥉 Third place: $5,000

That’s money awarded on top of what we raise during the campaign. And it’s money that can help us care for dogs like Betty while they wait for the homes they deserve.

So, if you can’t adopt Betty, please consider making a donation to our EmbraceCLE campaign. Every gift helps us care for animals in need and brings us closer to one of those prizes.

Donate here: https://givebutter.com/RescueVillage_EmbraceCLE_2026

And please share Betty’s picture. Because after more than 90 days, we think it’s time somebody fell in love with those blue eyes.

We certainly have. ❤️

Woofstock takes an incredible community of volunteers, event partners, students, photographers, and behind-the-scenes heroes who show up, pitch in, and make the magic happen. 🐾

To our amazing Woofstock volunteers, groups, and Event Team members: THANK YOU! From the early mornings to the long days, the last-minute problem-solving, the smiles, and your ongoing support for homeless animals, we are truly grateful for your contributions!

A special thank you to the groups who helped us set up in the days leading up to Woofstock, including Parker Hannifin, Tanger Outlets, and Majestic Steel USA. Your hard work helped transform the grounds and get everything ready for thousands of people and their pups, and we are incredibly grateful for such a strong partnership.

We were also lucky to have groups like Girl Scouts of NE Ohio and the Ursuline College Tennis Team who joined us during the day and helped in key points like admissions and kids' activities.

And when the fun was over, our tear-down and cleanup teams jumped right in. Huge thanks to Nestlé, Benedictine High School PAW Club, Lake Erie College students, and the many individual student volunteers who helped clean up Woofstock, leaving the grounds looking their best. We appreciate every bag lifted, every table moved, every piece of trash picked up, and every extra hour you gave.

📸 To our volunteer photographers: thank you for capturing the action, the smiles, the competition, and all the unforgettable moments that make Woofstock so special. Your photos allow us to relive the day long after the tents come down!

Woofstock is truly a team effort, and we are incredibly grateful for every single person who gave their time, energy, talent, and muscle to make this event happen. We couldn’t do Woofstock without you. And honestly? We wouldn’t want to.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! ❤️
