Each year there are countless dogs that go missing so PLEASE microchip your pet. These two were not microchiped but were among the lucky ones that found thier way back home safely :).

Introduction of a new dog:
When introducing a new dog, do not allow both to be off leash.
There are a few steps to handle this.
1. Have the new dog in a crate and walk the other dog (s) near it. This can be done for a few days.
2. Take both dogs for a walk, alternating who is in front so that each can "inspect" each other from a distance. This can also help to wear out the dogs. This can be done a for a few days before moving on to step 3.
3. Place a short leash on each of the dogs and have them both "inspect" each other. Be sure to stay calm and observe dogs for warning signals. If all goes well allow them to walk about. Have a few more supervised play dates.
