We have been caring for area pets since 1981. Many of our 4-legged friends have aged gracefully with our help and medical care, and the once adolescent sons and daughters of our early clients now bring their own pets to us! It's a neighborhood tradition we're pleased to keep.

👑❤️ Why have one Reception Queen when you can have two?! Let's celebrate Bree! 🐾

If you've called Abbey or stopped by reception, chances are you've had the pleasure of chatting with Bree. She's one of those friendly, caring voices on the other end of the phone and the smiling face helping you when it's time to check out!

Bree has such a big heart and always goes above and beyond for our clients and their beloved pets. She's thoughtful, capable, and the kind of teammate who's always happy to jump in wherever she's needed. ❤️

And lately, she's been adding even more to her skills by learning how to assist our doctors during appointments! We love seeing her take on new challenges and grow in her role.

Bree, we absolutely adore you! Thank you for everything you do, for always being willing to help, and for the kindness you show our clients, patients, and team every day.

☀️🐾 Today we're celebrating our very own Sunshine King, Ethan!

Ethan has been part of Abbey since 2022, working with us as a veterinary assistant during his school holidays. Every time he comes back, he brings his wonderful energy, big smile, and so much enthusiasm for caring for our patients. We absolutely love having him around! ❤️

It's been such a pleasure watching Ethan grow, develop his skills, and become more confident in veterinary medicine. And this year, we had something extra special to celebrate!

🎓 Ethan graduated Cum Laude from Transylvania University with a Bachelor of Arts and a minor in Chemistry!

He's now taking a gap year before applying to veterinary school, and we couldn't be more excited for him.

Outside of work, Ethan is a huge bird enthusiast and loves spending his spare time birdwatching. 🐦 His love of animals certainly extends well beyond the dogs and cats we see at Abbey!

Ethan, we're so proud of you! Thank you for the sunshine you bring to our team, your hard work, and the wonderful care you give our patients. We know you're going to make an amazing veterinarian someday, and we can't wait to see where your journey takes you! ❤️

👑❤️ Staff Appreciation Week continues, thank you Addye! 👑❤️

If you've called or visited Abbey, chances are you've had the pleasure of chatting with Addye!

She's bubbly, warm, full of personality, and has a heart as big as her smile. 🥰 Whether she's answering your questions, helping you at reception, or sneaking in a cuddle with one of our patients, Addye puts so much love into everything she does.

One of the things we adore most about Addye is how deeply she cares about our patients. She treats your babies with the same love and attention she'd give her own, and that means the world to us. ❤️🐾

Reception can be a busy place, but Addye brings so much warmth and personality to it every day!

❤️🐾 Staff Appreciation Week continues with Kerry! Thank you! ❤️🐾

Kerry has been with us for just over a year now, and we honestly can't imagine Abbey without her!

She's one of the kindest, gentlest people you'll ever meet, with an enormous heart and a real love for the animals in her care. ❤️

You'll usually find Kerry helping our doctors during appointments or assisting Dr. Jay in surgery. She has such a calm, caring way about her, and we're so lucky to have her looking after our patients.

Now, there's one thing Kerry isn't particularly fond of… having her picture taken! 😂 But she's a good sport and humors us anyway, which we're especially grateful for this week!

Kerry, thank you for all the love, kindness, and care you bring to Abbey. You've become such an important part of our team, and we absolutely adore you! ❤️

Jenny is one of those wonderful people who seems to do a little bit of everything at Abbey!

You'll most often find her in surgery assisting Dr. Jay, or giving our patients plenty of love and cuddles as they recover. But she's just as comfortable helping in appointments or greeting you at reception. Wherever she's needed, Jenny is there!

She has an enormous heart, is incredibly kind, and always goes the extra mile to make sure our patients are comfortable and well cared for. ❤️

Thank you Abbey! One of the things we love most about Abbey is that she's never shy about sharing her thoughts and ideas! She's thoughtful, kind, and always happy to contribute, whether it's helping a teammate, caring for a patient, or suggesting a new way of doing something.

You'll often find Abbey helping our patients feel comfortable and cared for, and it's lovely to see the affection she has for the animals she works with. 🥰

Outside of work, Abbey loves going to concerts, spending time with her three babies — Kermit, Justy, and Stinky — and making sure they're thoroughly spoiled! 🐱❤️ Judging by their photos, we think they've got a pretty good arrangement going!

Abbey, thank you for your kindness, your ideas, and the care you bring to our patients every day. We love having you on our team, and we appreciate everything you do!

We're celebrating someone who has the biggest heart and the gentlest touch — our wonderful veterinary assistant, Amanda!

Amanda has worked in veterinary medicine for over 10 years, with experience in both general practice and emergency care. She brings so much knowledge to Abbey, but what makes her especially wonderful is the kindness and compassion she shows to everyone around her.

Whether she's comforting a nervous patient, helping a client understand their pet's care, or lending a hand to a teammate, Amanda has a way of making people (and pets!) feel at ease. She's incredibly empathetic, thoughtful, and always willing to help. We're very lucky to have her! ❤️

And while Amanda loves all animals, cats have a particularly special place in her heart. 🐱 She is our fractious cat whisperer!

Amanda, thank you for the care, patience, and kindness you bring to Abbey every day. We adore you!

🎉 We're kicking off Staff Appreciation Week with a birthday celebration! 🎂❤️

And we couldn't think of a better way to start than by celebrating our wonderful Meredith!

Meredith has been part of Abbey Animal Hospital since 2018, and we honestly can't imagine the place without her. She's such an important part of our team, and we absolutely adore her!

You'll often find Meredith helping with appointments, sharing her knowledge with our newer assistants, or working her magic as our resident fractious cat whisperer. 🐈 Somehow, even our most opinionated feline patients seem to have met their match!

We celebrated with Mission BBQ and Smoothie King for the team, and Addye made Meredith her very own dirt cake for the occasion! 🎂

And because we couldn't celebrate Meredith without including her beloved cats, we've added a few photos of Freya and Constance, too. Just look at those faces! 🐱❤️

🐾 Please join us in welcoming Brandon to Abbey Animal Hospital! ❤️

We're excited to introduce one of our newest veterinary assistants, Brandon!

Brandon's journey into veterinary medicine wasn't quite what he'd originally planned. After experiencing some medical challenges, he found himself reconsidering his career and decided it was the perfect opportunity to pursue something he'd always loved — animals!

He went on to graduate from CCBC's Veterinary Assistant Program, and we're delighted that his next chapter has brought him to Abbey.

Outside of work, Brandon has plenty of other interests! He loves cars (really, anything with a motor!), skateboarding, and playing guitar. 🚗🛹🎸

We're so pleased to have him with us and look forward to introducing him to all of you.
