Hello TCHA Members!

What a year it has been! Our 2026 season started with a strong, motivated, and dedicated Board of Directors, along with our members at large, and we are incredibly excited to continue serving the TCHA membership in 2027.

As we look toward the new year, we are happy to announce your 2027 TCHA Board of Directors!

🐎 MEET YOUR 2027 TCHA BOARD 🐎

Nominations closed on September 16th, as announced in our August 21st post. We are excited to report that almost our entire board has chosen to continue serving TCHA in 2027!

There was one opening for a Member at Large and two new nominees. At our October meeting, the Board reviewed our By-Laws, which state a minimum of five Members at Large. The Board unanimously agreed to expand that number to six Members at Large this year.

Because all positions are running unopposed, all nominees will be joining or returning to serve on the 2027 TCHA Board!

💙 A HUGE TCHA THANK YOU TO CAITLIN! 💙

The Board would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Caitlin Parker for serving on the 2026 TCHA Board!

Caitlin did a fantastic job serving our association and volunteering at our shows, including proudly presenting the American Flag.

Caitlin is one busy young lady, and while she will not be returning to the Board for 2027, we are happy to say she will still be a familiar face at our shows and helping behind the scenes.

Thank you, Caitlin, for everything you have done for TCHA! 🇺🇸🐴

🏆 2026 TCHA AWARDS BANQUET 🏆

While this year is far from over, we still have plenty to accomplish!

Up next is our 2026 TCHA Awards Banquet, where we will celebrate our members, their successes, and another wonderful year together.

This year’s theme is:

❤️ “Falling in Love with Our Horses!” ❤️

We are planning a fun fall and horse-themed evening where TCHA members can relax, enjoy a wonderful meal, visit with friends, and celebrate everything that made the 2026 season special.

Our banquet will be catered by Antonio’s, followed by cake!

We can’t wait to present our Grand and Reserve winners with their year-end awards, celebrate our accomplishments as an organization, and simply enjoy some time together.

Most importantly, this banquet is for ALL TCHA MEMBERS!

Come celebrate our great year with your TCHA family. 🐴🍂❤️

🐴 IT TAKES A VILLAGE!

As a new board this year, we learned a lot about working together as a team and putting on our shows.

What happens in the arena is only part of what makes a horse show successful. There is an incredible amount of work happening behind the scenes.

And the truth is…

It takes more than 10 people on the Board to put on a great year of horse shows!

TCHA is SO thankful for our volunteers.

From setting up arenas and gates, to ribbons, announcing, office help, trail equipment, cleanup, hospitality, and everything in between — our volunteers are the backbone of our shows.

❤️ WE COULDN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOU! ❤️

Thank you to every person who gave their time, energy, talents, and helping hands this season.

It truly takes a village to put on our TCHA shows!

⚡ SPEED MEMBERS — WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! ⚡

The TCHA Board has already been talking about some exciting ideas for next season.

One idea we have discussed throughout the year — and have already talked about with several TCHA members — is creating a:

🏇 SPEED COMMITTEE 🏇

We want to continue offering speed classes and make sure we are providing what is important to our speed members.

One of our goals is to build participation in our TCHA Speed events, and we believe the best way to do that is to listen to the people who participate in them.

We need:

🐎 People
🙋 Volunteers
💡 Ideas
🏇 Input from our Speed Members

We want to hear what YOU would like to see for the future of TCHA Speed!

💬 WHAT SHOULD TCHA SPEED LOOK LIKE IN 2027?

Maybe Saturday mornings don’t work for everyone.

Maybe having the Speed Show on the same weekend as the Pleasure Show creates conflicts with other local speed opportunities.

Maybe the speed show could offer more classes, different divisions, additional jackpots, exhibition classes, or other opportunities.

These are exactly the conversations we want to have with our members.

TCHA recognizes that participation has decreased, and we want to work together to find ways to make our shows successful and sustainable for the future.

The Board is open to new ideas.

While the phrase “we’ve done it that way for years” has helped sustain our shows for a long time, we also recognize that times change, members’ needs change, and our shows may need to change with them.

Just checking in with everyone with a quick update on our 2026 Year End Awards!

I am still waiting on final embroidery quotes, but here are some of the award options we are planning to offer:

🍂 Stable Sheets, Bridle Bags, Director's Chairs, Halters & more through Schneider's, embroidered by Signature Designs
🍂 Trophies through BK Enterprise
🍂 Travel Tumblers through Mirror Lake Customs
🍂 Custom Buckles through Molly's Custom Silver

Grand Champion — $30 per award
Reserve Champion — $25 per award

If the item you would like costs more than your Year End Award amount, you are welcome to pay the difference!

For those interested in a Molly's Custom Silver buckle, you may submit your order directly to Molly's and TCHA will reimburse you for your Year End Award amount. Please keep in mind that Molly's currently has a minimum 45-day turnaround time from the date your order is APPROVED, so you'll want to get those orders in as soon as possible.

Please note: All outstanding show balances must be paid in full before Year End Awards can be ordered.

I will be reaching out to each Grand & Reserve Champion individually to arrange your award, so there is no need to send me your selections just yet. 😊

🐴 TCHA WANTS YOU! 🫵💡

Just a reminder that we are seeking nominations for ALL positions on the TCHA Board! We would absolutely LOVE to see some new names, fresh ideas, and new faces step up for next year. 🥰

While I have thoroughly enjoyed serving as your 2026 TCHA President, it will not hurt my feelings in the least if you decide you’d like to step forward and give it a go! 😉

Most of our current board will be back on the ballot, but we wholeheartedly support new people, new ideas, and new energy! 💡❤️ Our current board is dedicated to helping make next year successful, whether you’re a returning board member or someone brand new.
