6.5-year-old double doodle. He weighs about 82 lbs and is a big, lovable boy who has so much love to give. 🐾

A little about him:
🥕 Favorite snack: Carrots!
☀️ Favorite pastime: Napping in the sunshine
❤️ Favorite thing: Belly rubs, attention, and being loved
🚶‍♂️ Enjoys: Going on walks and having fresh water available and a window to sit at and look out of.
🏡 At home: 100% housebroken and does not use a crate. Sleeps on his bed at night.
🍽️ His little quirk: He may sneak food off the table if it’s left within reach! And if he can get into the kitchen garbage he will (ours is in a cabinet and we have never had a problem)

He is very people-friendly, and everyone who meets him seems to fall in love with him. He loves attention and would thrive in a home where he can be spoiled with all the love, affection, and snuggles he deserves.

Recently he did bit our 3.5 year old son. Our son and 6 year old daughter were playing and decided to go over and pet Charlie. He got up and walked away and laid down in another spot with his toy. (They are always told if any dog gets up and moves away to leave them along) unfortunately I was not in the room to remind them and my 3.5 year old followed him and sat down next to him. From here it is not 100% clear as my daughter saw it unfold… we are not sure if he maybe sat on his tail or part of him… if he touched him or not. He might have growled first as another warning, but I was running the vacuuming a few feet away. He then snapped and caught him on his cheek. Charlie knew he was in trouble as when I went to get him to have a family member come pick him up I had to physically assist him down our stairs.
Thankfully it was superficial and there was no active bleeding. He saw our pediatrician the next morning and there was nothing further that they could do that I didn’t that evening.
This has been the hardest thing I have had to do. My kids are not afraid of him and are completely heartbroken that my husband and I are trying desperately to find him a loving home.
But for the safety of our youngest and for Charlie (so nothing else happens again) he cannot stay in our house.

Thank you Sydney and family for taking a chance on these two big beautiful boys! Thank you also to everyone that shared this post to help them find such an amazing family! A special shout out to Liz Peoples for rockin it and pushing the envelope for Rob and I! We appreciate you beyond words! Hugs all around! Oh Happy Day! We have given them a trial run for the week because they have very young children, but the meet and greet with the whole family went amazing yesterday!!
So freshly bathed amd smelling like an Irish spring morning, complete with hugs and kisses from us, they are on their way to make this family a two Doodle home! Woohoo!!!!! Amanda I kept them together! 🙏❤️😊 I’ll update with pics when she sends them my way!

What most likely took out our baby Rex! This can commonly happen in Doodles too, so hold your breath and say a prayer it doesn’t affect your fur babies in any way! 😢Sharing in case anyone is interested! This fits the description of what happened to Rex perfectly too! I was getting dressed and ready to head to Northview as he quickly started to descend and his gums turned very pale but were pink in the morning up until about 30 minutes before he took his last breath!

Thank you so much everyone for all the kindness you’ve shown to our family over the past few days regarding losing our precious boy Rex! After some research and reading about other people’s experiences with their dogs, it seems as though Rex may have been a victim
Of a Hemangiosarcoma which is basically a cyst that can rupture and create internal bleeding and take a healthy happy dog down in a very short period of time! Given all the criteria, this was the closest to a diagnosis without an autopsy that we could figure! I’m not a vet, just a girl who loves her dog so much, she wanted some answers after the fact! He will always and forever be in our hearts and lives on through his pups of which I have 3 of my own! Macy and Rex gave us Lexy, Roxy and Blitzen! They are all very special! ❤️❤️❤️ Give your babies a huge hug today! You just never know when it might be the last one! 😢❤️‍🩹
