Is your new puppy ready for their first grooming appointment? Starting early can help make grooming a positive and stress-free experience for years to come! 🐾

✨ A few tips for puppy parents:
• Get your puppy used to gentle brushing at home
• Practice touching their paws, ears, face, and belly
• Introduce grooming tools slowly and positively
• Use lots of praise and treats! 🦴
• Keep handling sessions short and fun
• Don’t wait until your puppy is badly overgrown or matted for their first groom

The goal of a puppy’s first grooming visit isn't necessarily a perfect haircut—it’s helping them learn that baths, brushes, dryers, nail trims, and being handled are nothing to be afraid of. 💕🐩

Starting professional grooming early, when your veterinarian says your puppy is ready based on their vaccination status, can help build positive associations with the grooming process.

💗 Meet Lex! 🐾

Lex is a sweet senior Pitbull who is looking for a loving retirement home where she can spend her golden years feeling safe, comfortable, and spoiled. 🥰

Lex loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, and lounging on her bed—she’s happiest when she can relax and enjoy some one-on-one attention. 🛏️❤️

Sadly, Lex was surrendered to us after her owner passed away. She has been through a lot, and we truly believe she deserves a loving family to give her the happy retirement she deserves. 💕

Lex would do best as the only dog in the home, as she is not animal-friendly. We are also still learning how she does with children, so the right home will need to be patient and understanding.

If you or someone you know might be interested in giving Lex the loving retirement home she deserves, please talk to a member of our staff! 🐶💗
