Fall is officially in the air and your flock can feel it. 🐓🍂

Shorter days and cooler temps change what your chickens need from their feed, and October is the month a lot of backyard keepers start noticing the difference in egg production without knowing exactly why.

If you haven't thought about your flock's fall and winter feed program yet, now is a great time to start. 🙌

Ever wondered if your cat gets bored of eating the same thing every day? 🐱 Here are 3 reasons why keeping a food rotation is a game changer for mealtime:⁣
⁣
1. Variety keeps mealtime exciting: Switching up flavors like Wellness Signature Selects Chicken & Lamb or Yellowfin Tuna & Tilapia gives them new taste experiences to look forward to. 🍣🍗⁣
⁣
2. Nutritional diversity: Rotating recipes introduces a wider range of high-quality protein sources and ingredients while maintaining consistent, high-standard nutrition. 🥩⁣
⁣
3. Discovers their true favorites: Trying different textures (shredded vs. flaked) and proteins makes it easy to learn what your cat genuinely loves most!

October pasture looks beautiful but there's something important happening underneath that pretty picture. 🍂🐴

As fall sets in, cool-season grasses can actually spike in nonstructural carbohydrates, especially on cold nights followed by sunny days. For most horses this is not a problem. But for horses that are insulin-resistant, prone to laminitis, or easy keepers, October pasture can be one of the riskiest times of year.

The visual cues that usually signal danger in spring, lush green growth, rapid flush, don't apply the same way in fall. The grass can look sparse and dried out while still carrying elevated sugar levels.

If you manage a horse with metabolic concerns, October is worth paying close attention to. 👀

Fall is approaching and along with cooler temperatures and changing leaves comes fewer daylight hours. Owners and their pets like to stick to a routine, and during these darker seasons that means walks in low-light conditions. Lazer Brite® Collars and Leashes are reflective and help keep pets and their owners safe and seen.
