Our mission is to rescue abandoned and abused cats in our community and find them loving homes. We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization located in Northport, NY

SHE WAS BORN WITH ONLY THREE LEGS… BUT NOBODY EVER TOLD HER SHE COULDN’T RUN! 🥰

And if you need a little inspiration today, please meet Tara.

As the seasons change and colder days approach, rescue work brings so many emotions. Heartbreak, joy, worry, love.
But today, one emotion stands above all others.

INSPIRATION.

Tara and Candy, two beautiful bonded sisters rescued when they were just weeks old. Sweet, playful, affectionate, and full of life, they even know their names when called!

But Tara was born missing one of her back legs.
And here’s what makes their story so beautiful.

Candy doesn’t see anything different about her sister. She tackles her, wrestles with her, chases her and loves her exactly as she is.

And Tara?

SHE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA SHE’S DIFFERENT!
Running on her hamster wheel? ✅
Using her litter box? ✅
Climbing into your lap?✅
Keeping up with her sister?✅

Nothing stops this little girl!

And I can’t help but wonder…
How many of us have felt different? Not good enough? How many have allowed others, or even ourselves, to decide what we can and cannot do?

And then there’s Tara.
A tiny kitten who can practically fit in one hand, waking up every morning, running on her wheel and loving every minute of life.

She doesn’t focus on the leg she’s missing. She’s too busy living with the three she has. ❤️

My goodness, how much we can learn from animals.

YOU ARE STRONG. YOU ARE BRAVE. YOU ARE ENOUGH.

And Candy? She teaches us something just as beautiful.
Real love doesn’t see what’s missing. It sees everything that’s there.

As another season approaches, these two little girls are still waiting in foster care.
Not for someone to feel sorry for Tara.
But for someone to see two perfect little souls who deserve a lifetime of love, TOGETHER.

Imagine having this little reminder of courage and unconditional love in your home every day.

Their only chance at a family ended while they were hiding. 💔

Rachel and Gracie have had just ONE meet-and-greet. When the family arrived, they got scared and hid. The family decided these girls weren’t for them.

Then the door closed… and Rachel and Gracie came back out to their foster mom.
There they were. The loving, affectionate girls the family never got to meet. Ready for attention from someone they trusted, unaware that their chance at a home had just walked out the door.
Someone came to meet them, but never really got to know them.

Before foster care, these girls lived outdoors in a kind woman’s yard. When both began having trouble eating, they needed dental care and tooth extractions. We brought them into rescue and discovered two gentle souls who had so much love to give.

They’ve finally learned the comfort of being safe inside. Now we hope they’ll get to know the feeling of belonging to a family, too. ❤️

You cannot see their true personalities in a few nervous minutes. They need a little time to feel safe—and their foster mom promises it doesn’t take long to begin seeing their sweetness.
They love each other so much. But somehow, they love affection from their humans even more.

Rachel and Gracie are four years old, bonded, and still waiting patiently in foster care. They are safe, warm, and loved.
But winter is coming. Another season without a family of their own.

We keep hoping the next application will be theirs. That someone will look at their faces and say, “I’ll give them time.”
Please help that person find them. Let this be the season their wait finally ends. 🏡❤️

Sometimes the sweetest love stories don’t begin with heartbreak. Sometimes they’re simply about two beautiful little souls who have so much love to give… and are just waiting for someone to give it to. 🥹❤️

And that’s Finn and Milo.

These two adorable boys are everything you could wish for in a furry best friend. Sweet, loving, affectionate, and absolutely overflowing with personality. They’re the kind of kittens who make ordinary days extraordinary, who turn a house into a home, and who remind you that sometimes the best things in life come in pairs. 🐾

Just look at those faces. Can you imagine coming home to those four beautiful eyes looking up at you? Twice the purrs, twice the cuddles, twice the love. ❤️

They don’t need rescuing from a sad past. They just need someone to give them a beautiful future.

Could that someone be YOU? 🏡💕

💔 THEY RAN AFTER THEIR DAD AS HE WALKED OUT THE DOOR. THEY DIDN’T KNOW HE WASN’T COMING BACK. 💔

PLEASE don’t scroll past Birdie and Dizzie. They need us more than ever.

Almost 8 years ago, these two tiny kittens were found curled up together beside a dumpster. Northport Cat Rescue rescued them, and they were adopted together into what we believed would be their forever home.

❤️ For nearly 8 years, they had everything. A family. A warm home. Someone to love.

And then, through absolutely NO fault of their own, they lost it all. 💔
When their dad brought them to their foster home and turned to leave, something happened that broke our hearts.
Birdie and Dizzie RAN AFTER HIM.

They didn’t understand why he was leaving. Why weren’t they going with him? Where was the only family they had ever known?
If only we could explain that they had done nothing wrong. 😢

For days, they grieved. But thanks to their loving foster mom, these beautiful souls are slowly beginning to cuddle, trust, and play again.

🐾 They’re incredibly sweet, affectionate black cats who grew up with children and are doing wonderfully with other cats.

They’ve already lost their home. PLEASE don’t let them lose each other.
They’re bonded siblings who have spent their ENTIRE lives together. Our greatest wish is to find them a home directly from foster care, sparing them another heartbreaking transition into an adoption habitat.

💔 They’re almost 8 years old. Not kittens anymore. But aren’t they just as deserving of being chosen?

Eight years ago, someone gave two frightened kittens beside a dumpster a chance.

Today, we’re begging someone to give them that chance again.

💔 SHE KEEPS PAWING AT THE DOOR… HOPING SOMEONE WILL FINALLY NOTICE HER AND HER SISTER. 🥺

Please watch this little video. And then look at the pictures of these two beautiful girls when they were just tiny babies, curled up together.

Meet Penny and Cinnamon. The last two sisters from their litter still waiting for someone to choose them. 💔

Born on March 6th, these sweet girls came into our rescue the very day they entered this world.
They have never known life without each other.
They grew up surrounded by love, children, other cats, kittens, and even dogs and are wonderful with all. They learned to play, explore, cuddle, and trust people.

But from the very beginning, there was something we noticed about these two.
No matter how many other animals were around, Penny and Cinnamon always found their way back to each other. ❤️
They played together. Slept curled up together. Looked for each other.
They weren't just sisters. They were inseparable.
And now, as the last two of their litter still waiting for a family, they continue to find comfort in the one thing they've always had.
Each other. 💔

Penny is our little charmer. She's the one who comes right up to the habitat door at Petco in Commack, reaching out with her tiny paw, trying so hard to get someone's attention.
And every time we see her do it, our hearts break just a little more.

Because we can't help but imagine what she would say if she could speak.

“Excuse me… could you please stop for a minute? My sister and I are still here. We've been waiting so long. Could you maybe take us home?” 🥺

And sweet Cinnamon? She's right there with her sister, just as she has been since the day they were born.

They are affectionate, silly, playful, curious, and cuddly. They love people, and they have so much love to give.
They have everything a family could wish for. Except a family.

We know adopting two kittens isn't something everyone can do.
But somewhere out there is someone who has room in their home and heart for two little girls who have already spent their entire lives loving each other.
Someone who will see them not as two kittens to adopt, but as one beautiful little family that deserves to stay together.
Please don't let their story end with another day of waiting behind a habitat door.

Penny has been trying so hard to get someone's attention. Today, we're asking you to help her. ❤️
