"Texas Gold Millipedes"

Orthoporus Ornatus

Fun fact : These millipedes possess a specialized structure located near the base of their antennae. It is called the Tömösváry organ and it helps them detect changes in humidity and ground vibrations.

Another issue worth mentioning : be careful if you cohabitate these with isopods. These millipedes molt underground for significant lengths of time. During which, hungry isopods have been known to prey on their soft exoskeletons before it hardens.
