πŸŽ†πŸΎ 4th of July Pet Safety Tips πŸΎπŸŽ†
Fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be terrifying for our pets!
Here are some tips to help your pets feel safe and calm:
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Collars with ID Tags & Microchips - Make sure your information is up-to-date.
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Start Desensitizing your Pets to Noises & Lights - Play videos of fireworks and loud noises, while rewarding them for calm behavior.
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Secure their Environment - Check your doors, fences, and gates and secure any escape areas. Even the calmest of animals may panic & run.
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Prepare a Safe Space Indoors - Close windows & curtains, while playing calming music, TV, or white noise to help drown out the fireworks. Provide distractions such as treats or enrichment toys.
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Watch the Picnic Food - Most picnic food is bad for pets. Please keep your pets away from this food, alcohol, and fireworks!
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Warm Weather Hazards - Offer plenty of fresh water. Exercise your pets earlier in the day to burn off some energy and help reduce anxiety at night.
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Clean Up - Be sure to check your yard for any firework debris before letting your pets back outside.
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Use Calming Aids - Talk to us about calming aids or sedatives to help keep your anxious pets calm and safe! Please call now - don't wait until July 3rd to request medications.
We hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!!!

We had a great day today volunteering our time at Paw Prints on the Canal Event, which supports the NBPD K9 Unit. We made several new furry friends, some who wanted to stay camped under our table πŸ’•

This Sunday from 11 to 4pm is the Paw Prints on the Canal Event! As usual, Stanglein Vet Clinic will be out in force! We will be manning the Rabies and microchip clinic until 2pm and we will have our usual table with prize wheel, raffle basket, and more. It’s always a fun event and each year it keeps getting bigger with lots of amazing vendors!

Be sure to stop by and say hi! We hope to see you then!!

At Stanglein Vet Clinic, we treat your pets like family! 🐾 To ensure we can provide timely care to all our furry patients, we are introducing a formal "No Show & Cancellation Policy".

Lately, missed appointments have prevented us from seeing pets that need urgent care. Moving forward, we kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for all cancellations or rescheduling requests. This allows us to offer the open time slot to another patient in need.

Any appointment missed or canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be considered a "No-Show" and may be subject to a $50.00 fee.

We deeply appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and continued partnership in keeping your pets healthy.
