Brushing your dog isn’t just about keeping them looking their best, it’s an important part of their overall health and well-being!

"When we adopted Toby, he was just shy of a year old. Looking back, I realize I didn’t fully understand all the things we needed to know about helping him adjust to life with us.

That’s where Jennifer came in.

When we started working with her on basic commands, as well as some anxiety and aggression issues, so many things began to come together for Toby. The conversations I had with Jennifer when I picked Toby up, along with the videos she shared with us in a private album, were invaluable. They gave our whole family the tools to understand Toby better and continue working with him.

We knew from the beginning that our time in the area would be short-term, but by the time we moved, Toby had made incredible progress. We were able to take what we had learned with us to our new home, and because of Jennifer’s videos, everyone in the family could continue learning and helping Toby grow.

Jennifer saw something in Toby that even we couldn’t always see - his potential, his sweetness, and his soft side. She helped him become the amazing dog he is today. And on another note, we had such a wonderful experience at Good Dog Spot. I’m not sure we truly appreciated everything you offered until we moved and had to say goodbye. Your staff, your facilities, and everything you provide are truly special. We miss you!

Employee of the Month: Frances Nazario! 🌟

We’re so excited to celebrate Frances, who joined our grooming department in May as a bather while finishing school to become a certified groomer.

From day one, Frances has been an absolute ray of sunshine at The Good Dog Spot! She’s always ready to lend a helping hand, keeps everyone smiling with her upbeat attitude, and has quickly become an invaluable part of our grooming team.

Frances is a quick study, bringing both incredible patience and kindness to every dog in her care. She’s picked up our procedures and grooming techniques with ease, while also bringing fresh ideas and a wonderful new perspective to the salon. Most importantly, she goes above and beyond to make sure every pup has a safe, comfortable, and positive grooming experience.

And we have even more exciting news…Frances is officially a certified groomer! Join us in congratulating, Frances. We couldn’t be prouder!

She’s now beginning to take on full grooming appointments, and we can’t wait to watch her continue to grow, hone her skills, and make a difference for so many dogs in our community.

Say hello to Rachel, our sweet 7-year-old Lab Mix, lovingly owned by Deborah Wojcicki! 🐶

Rachel has been part of The Good Dog Spot family since December 2025, and it didn’t take long for this lovable girl to steal all of our hearts. With her calm, polite personality and gentle nature, Rachel quickly became a favorite among our staff and her furry friends.

Social butterfly? Absolutely! Rachel happily bounces between our little dog and big dog groups, making friends wherever she goes. She’s even become a wonderful role model for our younger pups and occasionally lends Jenn a helping paw in Spot’s Tots! When she’s not busy making friends in daycare, you can often find Rachel “working hard” behind the front desk, keeping our lobby staff company alongside her best pals, Flash and Finley. Rachel is the ultimate love bug and is always ready for some extra attention and affection and lucky for her, we’re always happy to give it!

We truly can’t imagine The Good Dog Spot without our sweet Miss Rachel. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our family!
