🐾 September is Animal Pain Awareness Month — a perfect time to talk about pain and arthritis in our pets.
Arthritis is common in dogs and cats, but the signs can be easy to miss. Pets often don’t cry or show obvious discomfort. Instead, you may notice subtle changes: difficulty getting up, hesitation on stairs, less interest in walks or play, stiffness after resting, or simply seeming “not quite themselves.”
These changes shouldn’t automatically be dismissed as “just getting older.” ❤️
Pain can affect your pet’s comfort, mobility, mood, and overall quality of life—and there are many ways to help manage it.
This September, take a moment to pay attention to how your pet moves and behaves. If you notice changes, give us a call. Recognizing pain early and creating a personalized management plan can make a meaningful difference.
They can’t tell us where it hurts. It’s up to us to notice the signs. 🐶🐱💙
