Deuce was one of the most challenging dogs I’ve ever cared for. He had that suspicious and ornery rottie edge—just as much bite as bark. Truthfully, most caretakers over the years have a story… and probably a scar to go with it.

He made you earn his trust. But once you did, he was incredibly loyal and deeply affectionate. He absolutely loved my 13-year-old daughter—that softer side of him was real.

Over the span of a month, a growth on his head developed and progressed quickly. We knew something wasn’t right and got him from Cleveland to LA as fast as possible. From what we understand, the outcome was what we feared. Per his dad’s post today, we had to say goodbye.

Rest easy, Big Guy. You’ll be missed. 🐾
