Life is hectic and there are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Bark n' Roll specializes in providing in-home and in-facility services that cater to the individual needs of our clients and their furry best friends. Whether it's getting your new puppy outside for a run or giving a little TLC to your senior dog, we will come to you to make your life easier and be a fun and frie

ndly buddy to your four-legged family member. Bark n’ Roll is a local and female owned business. Francine Coughlin, CPDT-KA, IAABC, is a certified Trainer and Behavior Consultant, recruiting only the most responsible and passionate members to her Team to keep our furry band members rockin’ every day of the week. Francine received the honor of 2020 Commonwealth Heroine from The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women for her work in dog rescue and in the community. She has never had a time when a special dog (or two, or three!) was not a part of her life. She is the proud "mother" of seven rescue pups, an ABC (Animal Behavior College) certified dog trainer (Honors Graduate), an AKC certified CGC & S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator, and a Northeast Animal Shelter volunteer and volunteer trainer. While living in Los Angeles for five years and working in the film industry, Francine got involved with volunteering at various dog rescue organizations and shelters and found this to be an interesting and incredibly rewarding way to devote her time. Now she's back on the East Coast and via Bark n' Roll has incorporated her love for all things canine into a service that promises to bring some free spirited and friendly fun into its clients' daily routines by getting to know their dogs and giving them the rock star treatment.

It's Fuzzy Face Friday! This crew understood the assignment: from naps with friends, getting delightfully dirty, and flashing our pupparazzi those irresistible smiles! The best days leave us tired, messy and happy....and looking forward to doing it all again next week. 🐾🤘🎶

We had some amazing pups graduate our Teeny Boppers Puppy Day Program recently! Give a big round of applause to Sasha, Phoebe, Fendi, Cleo and Tucker! These awesome pups all learned to Sit, Stay and SLAY!

Teeny Boppers is for puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old, they attend two days a week and have social play, training and structured nap times. The program pairs wonderfully with our AKC STAR Puppy/Beginner Band group class to round out their skills both at home and on the road.

This week's Training Tip Thursday is brought to you by Lilac.

Your dog needs to know when a behavior is finished just as much as they need to know when it begins.

If you ask for a sit, don't let your dog decide when they're done. Teach a release cue like "Free" "All Done" or "Release". Then reward them for staying in position until you give the release. Start with short increments in low distraction levels so they can be successful, then build duration, distance and distractions slowly.

Cue ➡ Behavior ➡ Reward ➡ Release

Clear expectations will equal less guessing for your dog and better communication for you both. 🐾🎵

Train with clarity and purpose. Rock the results! 🎶
