Matched only by the sky above... ☀️☁️💙🐐

The sky is a stunning, clear blue today, and the warm morning light is hitting the pasture just right—perfectly highlighting the incredible blue and marbled eyes on this year's batch of Angora kids!

While traditional white herds rarely show off this trait, our colored Angora lines have brought all the genetic magic to the pasture this spring. Because the blue-eyed gene is dominant, these little darlings aren’t just beautiful to look at—they are incredibly special for fiber herds and breeding programs looking to add unique color, character, and gorgeous genetics to their lines.

And the big news? These sweet, fluffy little fiber producers are growing up fast and will soon be ready to head off to their new pastures! 🌾🚐

Whether you are looking for top-tier spinning fiber (that gorgeous, silky luster!) or just want the sweetest, blue-eyed companions to add to your homestead family, these kids are going to make someone very happy.

Drop a 💙 in the comments if you’re a sucker for blue-eyed goat kids, or send us a DM if you’re interested in reservation details before they head out to their next adventure!

Current status: Grazing my way through the backyard. 🌿🍄🍓

There is so much joy in the garden right now! Plucked some beautiful Winecap mushrooms and a handful of sweet red and golden raspberries for today’s deliciousness. Meanwhile, the peaches and blackberries are teasing us—they’re starting to form but not quite ripe yet. Summer abundance is officially on its way!

The Old Shepherd's Bowl and the Wild Visitors: A Story of Maurice, the Ravens, and Norse Heritage. 🦅🥣🦅✨

It is a common sight around here at feeding time: a very specific pair of Ravens dropping out of the sky to land right next to this dog bowl. They don't come every single day—they keep to their own wild, mysterious schedule—but they visit frequently, waiting patiently to see what Maurice will share with them.

Maurice isn't in the photo, but his legendary presence is all over this land. He is our oldest Livestock Guardian Dog—the seasoned veteran who mentors the young LGDs, shepherds the newborn kids, and apparently, runs a local diner for the wildlife. These brilliant birds know that this specific bowl belongs to a noble, generous soul who always obliges.

For us, these frequent visits carry a deeper meaning. In Norse mythology, the raven is a symbol of deep wisdom, guidance, and protection. Odin himself was accompanied by two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, who flew across the world to gather knowledge. Honoring our Norwegian heritage here on the farm, it feels entirely fitting that these wild, intelligent birds have chosen to form a bond of mutual respect with our wisest old protector. 🇳🇴🌲

Of course, when Maurice isn't sharing a meal with his wild friends, this exact same bowl doubles as sweet little Deborah Cien’s favorite afternoon napping spot. 🤫💤

Between a giant, wise guardian dog, a pair of ancient Norse visitors, and a tiny kid using it as a mattress, this might just be the most popular—and used—piece of real estate on the entire homestead! 🐕🖤

Golden hour, a hot cup of coffee, and a pasture full of baby goat morning meetings. ☀️☕️🐐

There is an absolute magic to the early morning on the farm. While the mamas are busy grazing, all the kids gather in the beautiful, warm sunlight for their morning hangout. Standing out here with a warm mug, soaking in that first bit of sunshine while watching the littles play and find their footing—it’s the absolute best way to start the day.

The simple joys of spring on the homestead are unmatched. ✨

Excuse me... I couldn't help but notice you have grain over there." 🥺🌾✨

Those big, soulful puppy eyes belong to one of our darling light brown kids, and they are nearly impossible to say no to! Whether she’s sweet-talking us for a handful of tasty grain or just asking for someone to come out and play in the pasture, she knows exactly how to work her charm.

Honestly, how could anyone resist this face? Drop a 🥕 or 🌾 if you’d give her all the snacks!

The ultimate backyard cuddle puddle! 🌿🍼✨

Nothing brings a garden to life quite like a whole bunch of siblings chilling, playing, and eventually collapsing into one giant, fluffy heap. These little ones love to explore the fresh green leaves together, but their absolute favorite activity is using each other as pillows.

Drop a ❤️ if your garden needs a little bit of this sibling sweetness!

The adventures of Deborah Cien: Our 100th goat milestone, a deep sleeper, and a little herd hero. 🐐❤️✨

Life on our Placerville farm is never predictable, but sweet Deborah has a story that completely captures the beautiful, messy heart of farm life. Being our milestone 100th goat, she was already special, but her personality is truly one of a kind.

For starters, Deborah is an incredibly sound sleeper. And on a busy farm, if you sleep too deeply, the herd moves on without you!

The other day, Stevie was out checking the pastures and noticed the entire herd had already headed out to the "back 40" acres. Poor little Deborah had slept right through the morning commute. She woke up completely disoriented, with a serious case of "bedhead"—looking exactly like most of us do before our first cup of coffee! ☕

Realizing she’d been left behind by the main herd, she started crying and calling out, trying to get her bearings. But even in her confusion, her deep maternal instinct kicked right in.

We had recently lost one of our fragile newborn kids—a heartbreaking but real part of farm life. In her disoriented state, Deborah went right over to comfort and snuggle the little one who had passed, refusing to leave its side. Even when she is completely groggy and lost, her first instinct is to guard, love, and watch over the littlest ones.

She is a quirky, darling, incredibly tender soul who might get left behind in her dreams sometimes, but she never leaves anyone behind in her heart.

🌿 Want to bring a piece of this farm life to your own pastures? 🌿
As we transition through the season, we have a select number of our beautiful, sweet-tempered Angora and Pygora herd members ready to find their permanent farm placements. Whether you are looking for premium fiber producers, natural brush clearers, or incredible personalities like Deborah's to join your land, we’d love to match you with the perfect pair.

THE MIRACLE OF LITTLE DANI: A Story of Survival, Heartbreak, and Hope 🐐❤️✨

As promised, we are back to tell you the incredible adventure of little Dani, the handsome white Angora buck we introduced you to a couple of days ago. Grab a tissue, because farm life can be a wild rollercoaster!

When Dani was just 3 days old, the unthinkable happened—he completely disappeared.

As farmers, our hearts absolutely sank. Out here, the dangers are very real. We’ve lost full-grown bucks to mountain lions in the past, eagles are constantly circling overhead, and a tiny 3-day-old kid is an easy target.

We searched and searched. His sweet mama, Gabriella, called out for him constantly with a heartbreaking cry. We checked every single hiding spot on the property, combed through the "back 40" (okay, it’s not actually 40 acres, but we like to call it that!), and came up empty-handed. After two full days of searching, we feared the worst. Dani was the biggest, strongest white buck of his group, but a brand-new kid simply cannot survive two days alone in the wilderness. We were completely devastated.

And then... a miracle happened. ✨

On the third day, Dani just suddenly showed up. Out of nowhere! He was weak, but he was alive.

But the challenges of farm life didn't stop there. Because he had been gone so long and smelled different, his own mother didn't recognize this little "stranger"—even after crying for him for days. Gabriella is a wonderful, attentive mommy, but nature can be tough, and all the other mamas rejected him too.

We stepped in immediately, rolling up our sleeves to bottle-feed him around the clock. Slowly but surely, Dani regained his incredible strength. With a little time, patience, and extra TLC, the bond with his mama completely came back, too!

Today, Dani is thriving, healthy, and just as spunky as can be. He is a true survivor, and his story is a reminder of why we put so much love and hard work into raising these animals. Every single kid born on our farm is precious to us.

🏡 Want to bring a little piece of this resilient, beautiful farm life to your own homestead? Dani and his 9 fluffy playmates will be looking for their perfect forever homes once they are fully weaned.

📩 We are currently taking inquiries! Send us a PM for pricing and details on how you can reserve your own healthy, sweet-tempered fluffy bundle from this year's miracle class.
