❤️ **They may not say “I hurt,” but they can show us.**

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month, an important reminder to pay attention to the little changes in our pets.

Pain doesn’t always look like crying or limping. Sometimes it looks like:

🐾 Not jumping onto the couch anymore
🐾 Taking longer to get up
🐾 Sleeping more than usual
🐾 Avoiding stairs
🐾 Not wanting to be picked up
🐾 Becoming unusually grumpy or withdrawn
🐾 Losing interest in walks or playtime

It can be easy to chalk these changes up to age—but discomfort may be playing a role.

At Baeyens Hauk Veterinary Group, our goal isn’t simply to help pets live longer. We want them to feel good while they’re doing it.

If your pet just doesn’t seem quite like themselves lately, talk with our veterinary team. Sometimes the smallest changes tell us the most. 🐶🐱❤️

🖤🐈‍⬛ HAPPY BLACK CAT APPRECIATION DAY! 🐈‍⬛🖤

It’s time to celebrate the voids. The shadows. The tiny panthers who somehow manage to be both completely invisible and directly under your feet at the exact same time. 😂

Black cats have been unfairly associated with bad luck for WAY too long. Around here, we know the truth:

🖤 They bring GOOD luck.
🖤 They bring BIG purrs.
🖤 They bring midnight zoomies.
🖤 They bring the unmistakable feeling that you're being watched. 👀
🖤 And they bring approximately 17 pounds of cat into a 10-pound carrier.

So today, give your favorite little house panther some extra treats, some extra snuggles, and maybe forgive them for knocking something off the counter at 2:37 AM.
