Why Blowing Out the Undercoat Matters 🐾

If your dog has a thick or double coat, regular grooming is about so much more than making them look good. One of the most important parts of the process is blowing out the undercoat.

That soft, fluffy undercoat can build up over time, especially during shedding season. When it isn’t removed, it can trap dirt, dander, moisture, and heat close to the skin. This can lead to matting, itchy skin, hot spots, and an uncomfortable pup.

During a professional groom, the high-velocity dryer helps loosen and remove that dead undercoat safely and effectively. It also helps the groomer see what’s going on underneath all that fluff, including skin irritation, lumps, ticks, or sore spots that may be hidden.

A good undercoat blowout can help your dog feel lighter, cooler, cleaner, and much more comfortable. Plus, it can reduce some of that extra shedding around your home!

Regular grooming keeps your pup looking cute, but more importantly, it helps keep them healthy and comfortable from nose to tail. 🐶

Can you believe next month marks us being open for 2 years?! 😮🎉🥳

This year I’m going to do a coloring contest for all the kiddos! For the entire month of June we’re going to be passing out and collecting this coloring sheet and a winner will be chosen by miss Oaklynn herself at the end of the month!

The winner will win something super duper cool! (Ideas anyone?) 🤪😅
