Rescued as a pup, Charlie lucked out big time, treasured and living in a world that has been filled with love beyond measure these last nine years. A two way street, Charlie’s presence has enhanced his family’s world as well. Active and about, their time together is cherished, and when they found their Charlie, one day, unable to use his back legs, panic set in. An emergency MRI found that Charlie had a huge bulging disc, requiring costly surgery, with a 60-65% chance of his being able to walk again. Exciting update for all: “Surgery went well and recovery good, too!” Love, devotion, and expert vet care created a miracle!

Lucky Leo came into his mom’s life as a five month old rescue, and this last year together has been the best for not only Leo but his new family. A true entertainer, Leo is often a wonderful distraction to life’s challenges. Cats are uncanny in their ability to maneuver themselves into some pretty awkward places. It’s no wonder that his mom recently became concerned when her precious one began limping about, noticing a wound on his leg. With an emergency vet visit, Leo’s wound was treated, and he was put on antibiotics. Lucky Leo, back to enjoying love, life and all its comforts once again!

With Halloween just around the corner, many will be treated by a Snickers or two. Sweet, nine year old Snickers came into her mom’s life as a special treat three years ago, when her original owner was unable to care for her. Precious, snuggly Snickers and her new mom have become inseparable companions since that time, helping to make each other’s day very special. Wanting to keep her loved one in good health, arrangements were recently made for a dental visit. With great vet care and a few extractions, Snickers and her special mom’s life, once again, couldn’t be sweeter.

Baby Boo entered her mom’s life as a kitten five years ago, and her mom reports, “My Baby Boo is my life. She sleeps with me every night in my arms and has become my shadow.” Baby Boo and her devoted mom underwent a brief separation after a needed vet visit for blood work and treatment for a urinary tract infection. “She is my best friend, and I really want to give her the care that she needs.” There is an old musical phrase, “love will keep us together,” and for Baby Boo and her special mom, it has done just that!

Seven year old Smitty came into his mom’s life as a one year old rescue, and in the process, both worlds have been enriched big time. Great companions, their days are brighter and enhanced by each other’s presence. Up and about to seize each day together, his mom arranged for them both to share a different field trip a while ago, an important vet visit for her Smitty. An anxious, but needed experience for them both, as his mom’s treasured one required five important dental extractions. Oh, what a relief, as Smitty can now feast and enjoy the pleasures of mealtime once again.

Handsome Freyr’s life and future changed the minute he was rescued as a stray kitten a year and a half ago. No longer at a loss for food or love, this lucky guy is now living the best of all lives. Freyr’s life was on the line a few weeks ago, when his loving mom had to make immediate arrangements for a crucial vet visit after her Freyr had stopped urinating. His blockage was addressed by vet treatment involving four daily visits for fluids, meds, and a catheter. Thanks to great vet care and his mom’s commitment to his well-being, Freyr’s life is once again the best he has ever known!
