💗HAPPY HAPPY THURSDAY! 💗
What an amazing day we are having at The Pet Refuge! And today, it’s Sushi and Luna’s day! 🐾🐾

These two petite, sweet girls have been with us for a couple of months, and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of getting to know just how amazing they are. They are bonded sisters, and today, their story gets the happiest ending! 🥹❤️

Carol was looking to possibly welcome two friendly cats into her home… and wouldn’t you know it, she found her girls! Sushi and Luna are going HOME TOGETHER to a loving family where we have no doubt they will be spoiled, spoiled, spoiled! 🥰

There is something extra special about seeing bonded cats leave the shelter side by side, knowing they get to experience their new life together. These beautiful girls deserve every bit of happiness coming their way.

Thank you, Carol, for choosing these lovely little ladies and giving them the forever home they’ve been waiting for. We couldn’t be happier for all of you! 🐱💕🐱

WOULD YOU JUST LOOK AT THESE TWO GORGEOUS CREATURES?! 💕🐾

Meet Sushi and Luna, two petite, sweet, affectionate 5-year-old ladies who have completely stolen our hearts. Honestly… we are ALL a little bit in love with these girls! 😻😻

These bonded beauties were sadly surrendered when their guardian could no longer care for them. But despite such a big change in their lives, Sushi and Luna have continued to show us just how incredibly special they are.

We recently moved them into a common area with other friendly felines, and these two adapted like absolute pros! They are lighthearted, fun, adorable, and wonderfully chatty. They love being part of the action and have settled in beautifully with their new feline friends. 💗

Now, all they need is a family to call their own.
Imagine coming home to double the purrs, double the cuddles, double the personality, and DOUBLE THE LOVE. 🥰

Sushi and Luna are the kind of girls who could make a house feel instantly more like home. They deserve a warm, loving family where they can relax, be spoiled, and spend their days together exactly as they should.

🐾 TRIFECTA!!! 🐾 Three little ladies… and all three adopted together! 🥹❤️

Jim and Brenda fell in love with Mara, Kerri, and Greyson and we couldn’t be happier that these three beautiful girls get to start their next chapter side by side. 🐱🐱

Today, three sweet lives were changed forever. They’re leaving the shelter and heading home to the love, comfort, and happily-ever-after they deserve. And we have a feeling Jim and Brenda are the lucky ones, too! ❤️

Thank you, Jim and Brenda, for opening your hearts and your home to all three of these precious girls. Choosing one is wonderful… choosing three is simply amazing! 🥰

🐾HAPPY TAILS! 🐾

This just makes our hearts SO happy! 💕 We received this wonderful update from Hannah, who adopted Mookie last year—and look at him now! Mookie, now Odie, is absolutely living his best life! 🥰
When Mookie first came to us, he was such a shy and reserved boy. It took time, patience, and lots of love for him to come out of his shell. Seeing him now, happy, healthy, and clearly so loved, is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️

Hannah writes:
Hi!!! I thought I would provide a final update on Mookie, now named “Odie”. I adopted him in October and now nearly a year later he’s become a whole new little buddy. I’ve attached some pictures to represent his various interests. He’s truly been a blessing in my life and has given me something to look forward to coming home to every night.
Thank you for bringing him to me :)

Meet Xenia — A Beautiful Senior Girl Who Deserves to Be Loved Again 🐾❤️

Meet Xenia — pronounced Xena — a beautiful 10-year-old girl who has found herself in a place she never expected to be.
Xenia was deeply loved by her guardian, but sadly, her guardian was forced to escape a terrible situation and, because of those circumstances, had no choice but to surrender this precious girl. 💔

We want everyone to know that Xenia was loved.You can see it in her. You can feel it in the way she interacts with people. This is a girl who knew what it was like to have a home, to have someone care about her, and to be someone's special companion.

And now, through absolutely no fault of her own, she is waiting for that feeling again.
Xenia is a sweetheart. She is affectionate, loving, and simply beautiful. At 10 years old, she isn't looking for anything complicated. She is looking for the simple things that mean everything to a cat — a soft bed, a peaceful home, gentle hands, a warm lap, and humans who will dote on her and remind her every single day that she is cherished. ❤️

We truly want Xenia's next home to be her forever home. She deserves the security of knowing that she won't have to move again. She deserves a family who will open their heart to a senior girl and appreciate all the wonderful qualities that come with her years.

There is something incredibly special about giving a senior cat a second chance. You're not just giving them a home — you're giving them the comfort of knowing they are safe, wanted, and loved for the rest of their lives. 🏡❤️

We absolutely love this girl. We see how special she is, and we know there is someone out there who will see it, too.
Xenia is ready to get out of the shelter and into a home where she can relax, settle in, and simply be someone's beloved girl again.

Please don't let the number 10 stop you from meeting her. Ten years of age doesn't diminish the amount of love Xenia has to give. If anything, she has so much life experience and so much affection to share.

WE NEED YOU! BOOTSIE NEEDS A HERO.❤️
Sometimes, the heroes we need don’t wear capes. Sometimes, they simply open their homes and their hearts to a cat who needs them.

Our sweet Bootsie came to us after a Good Samaritan found him outside, trying to fend for himself. We knew this handsome tuxedo boy needed help, and after extensive veterinary visits and testing, we now know that Bootsie has IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), a chronic condition that causes inflammation in the digestive tract and can lead to tummy troubles, discomfort, and the need for ongoing care. Our veterinary team is also concerned about possible lymphoma, and we are continuing to navigate his medical needs.

But here’s what we know for sure: Bootsie deserves to feel safe, loved, and cherished.❤️
We are looking for a long-term foster homewhere this special boy can spend his days surrounded by comfort and kindness. A soft bed. A sunny window seat. Gentle hands. A warm lap. A peaceful place to rest his head. Most importantly, a family who will let him know that his life matters.

Bootsie is an absolute lovebug. He is affectionate, loving, wonderful with people, and gets along with other friendly cats. He has so much love left to give, and we want his next chapter to be filled with the things every cat deserves.

Because Bootsie will require medication, we are looking for a foster pawrent who is comfortable administering medications and giving him the extra care he needs.
And here’s the beautiful part of fostering with The Pet Refuge: you provide the love and a safe home, and we take care of the foster expenses. ❤️
