🐾💨 THANK YOU! 💨🐾

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first AKC FastCAT event at Youngstown All Breed Training Club a success!

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly before, throughout, and after the event. Your dedication and hard work kept everything running smoothly all weekend long.

Special thanks to our kitchen staff for providing 2 wonderful lunches for our volunteers, our lure operator for keeping the dogs chasing and having fun, and our photographer for capturing so many great moments and memories from the weekend.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out to run their dogs. Congratulations to all the teams who earned new titles, personal bests, and memorable accomplishments over the weekend.

We appreciate everyone who helped make our first FastCAT event at our new location such a great success. We can't wait to do it again!

There will be Sunday Agility Practice this week, May 24, 9am to 11am (must arrive by 10am to run). Members only. $5 per dog (exact change please). Dogs must be safe on all equipment.

Beginning Monday, May 11, Bailey Rd/Mahoning Ave will be CLOSED for approximately 4 MONTHS.

⚠️ The posted detour takes you far out of the way. Please use these suggested routes instead to get to our building more easily.

📍 FROM 76 (East/West):
• Exit at State Route 534
• Head south about 1/2 mile to the light
• Turn LEFT onto Mahoning Ave
• Building is just over 2 miles ahead

📍 FROM TURNPIKE (80):
• Take Ellsworth Bailey Rd to 76 West
• Exit at State Route 534
• Head south about 1/2 mile to the light
• Turn LEFT onto Mahoning Ave
• Building is just over 2 miles ahead

📍 FROM THE SOUTH:
• Take Route 224 West to Duck Creek Rd
• Head north to Mahoning Ave

🎓🐾 Congratulations to our very first Competition Obedience Foundation Class graduates! 🐾🎓

Our first class graduated last night, and we are so proud of all the teams and the progress they made over the past 8 weeks! Watching the dogs and handlers grow together was incredibly rewarding. 👏🐶

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this first session. We learned a lot too, and we’re excited to tweak and improve the class even more for our upcoming sessions!

🐾 Competition Obedience Foundation Class – Build a Strong Training Partnership! 🐾

Want to build a solid foundation for obedience with your dog? Come join us for our Obedience Foundation Class at YABTC! This class is designed to help you develop the essential skills that every dog and handler team needs—preparing for obedience or rally competition.

📅 Class Dates:
• May 27 to August 12
OR
• September 2 to November 18
⏰ Time: 7:00 PM
📆 Length: 12-Week Course - minimum age 3 months.

In this class we will focus on:
• Engagement and focus between dog and handler
• Proper position and foundation skills for obedience work
• Building reliable behaviors through clear communication
• Strengthening your dog’s understanding of basic obedience concepts
• Developing teamwork and confidence for both dog and handler

This class is perfect for those who want to start their obedience journey the right way by building strong fundamentals that future training can grow from.

💲 Cost:
• Members: $100
• Non-Members: $200

📌 Important: This is not a drop-in class. Enrollment is required so that each team can progress together throughout the 12 weeks.
