Our local animal shelters are full to the brim and are seeking adopters and fosters ASAP. Please spread the word to anyone you know who may have room in their home and heart.

"It’s heartbreaking to walk through our kennels and see how many great dogs we have that are looking for homes that just need somebody to open up their home," said LA Animal Service Interim GM.

Dear Friends, this morning I said goodbye to my beautiful boy Gregory. His transition was peaceful and he left us knowing he was loved. I know many of you were aware of his health battle over the past couple weeks and were kind of enough to inquire about him. Unfortunately, after a battery of tests and treatments, we ended at the diagnosis we were most afraid of - total and irreversible kidney failure. He had some up and down days over the last couple weeks, but over the weekend he declined rapidly and let us know that he was ready to leave us. My heart is broken in a million pieces and I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.

I am very thankful that everyone was so kind and understanding as I canceled numerous appointments at the last minute recently to care for Gregory and rush him to vet appointments. I will be taking a couple days to feel human again but plan to be back to work on Thursday and barring any other curveballs I expect to keep all scheduled appointments and will begin making up those that were canceled. I am also now planning to take some time off in early March to decompress a bit more fully.

Please send my Gregory a thought or a prayer today as he crosses over the Rainbow Bridge. If you have a loved one over there, he will find them and they will be romping around together.

Happy New Year, friends!! I feel so fortunate to have gotten to spend another year with the most precious and adorable dogs in all of LA. I thought it would be fun to show my last day of 2021 - spent with Admiral, Olive, Shaya, Aloy, Murphy, Sophie, Butch and Bernard. Talk about ending the year on a high note!! Much love to you all, and onward and upward in 2022! 💜❤💚💙💛🧡

It's been 🔥🔥🔥 in the Valley but our a/c has been recently serviced (apparently it had fur in it - go figure!) and we aren't shy about getting it cranking! ❄❄❄ We thought seeing some super cool pups might help ease you into another hot weekend and into summer!

Dog-loving friends, please keep my beautiful, precious Mo in your thoughts tonight. He is making his way across the Rainbow Bridge and though we are already missing him terribly, we are thankful for everything he did for us and for being his unique, wonderful self.

Dogs are truly magical beings and my Mo was a perfect example. Everything was better with Mo around. He came to us right after we moved into our house in 2009. We have never known these walls without him in them, and he turned us into a little family. I know for sure that without Mo, I would never have left my previous career so I could find a job that would allow me to spend all day every day with dogs, which brings me endless joy every day. He was so wonderful that I just wanted to be with dogs like him all day long!

I miss you and love you, Mo. Rest in peace, sweet boy. 2008 - May 27, 2021.
