TIGGER has been with us for just two weeks, and he's already a superstar! ✨
This magnificent tabby is a true gentle giant. At just four years old, Tigger turns heads with his stunning striped coat, soulful expressive eyes, impressive size, and wonderfully sweet personality. He's the kind of cat whose presence fills a room—and whose affection fills your heart.💕
Tigger does have an autoimmune skin condition that is completely controlled with medication. He will need to remain on that medication long-term, and we're hopeful there's a special adopter out there who will be happy to give him the care he needs to stay healthy and thrive.
If you think you might be that lucky person, come meet Tigger at our sanctuary in Atwater Village, Thursday through Monday, from 12–4 p.m.

Before — and After 🤍

Aimee was found hiding underneath a car: skinny, hunched over, covered in grease, and infested with fleas. She had just given birth to one stillborn kitten and was still carrying more babies inside her tiny body. 😔

When she was brought to the shelter, it was clear Aimee needed emergency medical care to survive. Thanks to West Valley Shelter, we were contacted immediately and we rushed her to East Valley Veterinary Center.

Dr. Hohne performed emergency surgery and saved Aimee’s life. 🙏We learned she had multiple deceased kittens in her uterus and would not have survived without surgery.

Barely a year old herself, Aimee is now safe, recovering, gaining weight, and finally receiving the love and comfort she deserves.
Aimee’s story is both heartbreaking and important. Kitten season has devastating consequences for young, unspayed cats struggling to survive outdoors. Too many suffer silently, and not all stories end like Aimee’s.

Spaying and neutering saves lives. Please help us continue rescuing cats like Aimee and preventing this suffering before it starts. 🤍

Just hanging out on a Wednesday morning with the FIV cats at Perry’s Place. It truly is “Heaven on Earth”. 💙These kitties ignored their usual toys and had the time of their lives playing with and decimating a Seven Eleven paper bag! (Pro tip: cut the handles off the bag before you give them to cats for play—they love poking their heads through the handles! )

Archie is still looking for a home and, well, he’s honestly not very good at it. 🥹 As the other kitties show off their play skills, jump up to catch feather wands, and roll on their back to show potential adopters their bellies, well, Archie is most likely laying low until the room gets really quiet.

Archie is a shy, handsome boy with a lot of love to share. He’s under three years old and needs just the right patient, loving family who will give him all the time he needs to develop trust. Archie absolutely loves other cats and kittens, and needs to be in a home with another cat.

If you are that special person who will give Archie a chance to show you how magnificent he is—please visit our sanctuary, Thursday through Monday from 12-4 pm. It’s our dream for Archie to get a forever home this summer. 💕

Tom is a magnificent, very fluffy six year old brown tabby with a presence as big as his appetite.🐯This gentle giant has perfected the art of lounging: his favorite pastime is stretching out in a warm patch of sunlight and watching the world go by like he owns it.He is also highly food motivated, which makes him both delightfully enthusiastic at mealtime and surprisingly trainable. Got treats? You’ve got Tom’s full attention.Tom is also an adventurous spirit in disguise. Despite having had lumbar disc disease, he hasn’t let that slow him down much. He’s an impressively determined climber who has been known to scale grated doors and mesh enclosures like a fluffy little escape artist. Because of this, he’ll need a home that’s mindful of his mobility and safety, while still appreciating his curious, can-do attitude.Tom would thrive in a home where he can enjoy cozy naps, sunny windows, and plenty of treats. In return, he’ll provide you with quiet companionship, soft fluff, and the occasional reminder that he’s both a king and an athlete.

He is also a very patient friend! Note (video) he is lounging in a large enclosure and could have chosen to move his tail out of the kitten’s reach. We think he likes the connection.

If you might want to adopt, please meet Tom at our Atwater Village sanctuary, Thursday through Monday, 12-4 pm.

Mama Mia! Here we go again! 💐🌺
This is the very best time of year to adopt a cat in LA. Kitten season adds new dimension to an already dense populations of kitties born outdoors year round in LA. Adopting a cat now saves the life of that cat (or cats) and makes room for rescues to save another one. 🙏
Like this Abba litter—Agnetha (tortie), Bjorn (ginger boy) and Benny (grey/white tabby). These three kitties are everything—playful, outgoing, cuddly and friendly. They are just three months old!
They must be adopted either in pairs or into homes with another young playful cat.
👉One other super fun alternative—adopt all three siblings ! 🐱🐱🐱
Visit Kitten Rescue 12-4 pm, Thursday through Monday in Atwater Village to see for youself. They are very special and precious.

Antidote to the “Sunday Scaries”—meet Lalo and Lola ! 😲🙀
These littermates are celebrating their one MONTH birthday today at our sanctuary. 🎉🎂🎈
Rescued from West Valley Shelter, these two have relied on each other to keep strong and happy through it all.
When they arrived at our sanctuary and settled in with their new beds and toys—they simply resumed play and enjoyed life!
