🖤 GOODBYE, MY SWEET WEST. 🖤

This is one of the goodbyes that hurts.

You were special to me from the very beginning, because of the way you came into my life and the story that brought you to my door. Somehow, from that very first moment, you were different.

For almost two years, I couldn’t let you go. Somewhere along the way, you became more than one of my rescues. You became mine.

Today I let you go — not because I wanted you less, but because there is always a next one. The next abandoned cat. The next sick one. The next one nobody wants. The next one on death row waiting for someone to save them.

And to save the next one, sometimes I have to say goodbye to one I desperately want to keep.

So goodbye, my beautiful West. Go be loved. Go be spoiled. Go live the beautiful life you deserve.

A piece of my heart went with you today.

Goodbye, West. 🖤
I will love you forever. 🐾

Sometimes, no matter how much love we give, how many sleepless nights we spend bottle feeding, how hard we fight… they still don’t thrive. 💔🐈‍⬛

There were three tiny black kittens.

I bottle-fed them through the night, watched every ounce, every meal, every little sign, and did everything I knew how to do to give them a chance.

Sadly, one of these precious babies didn’t make it. 🖤🌈

Losing a kitten is incredibly hard. You replay everything in your head and wish that somehow love and determination alone could always be enough.

I went straight to the vet with the remaining two because they still aren’t gaining the weight they should, and I needed to make sure we weren’t missing anything.

And this is where we are now.

This is the part of rescue that you don’t always see.

The waiting.
The worrying.
Watching every bite.
Celebrating every tiny ounce.
Checking on them over and over again.
And praying that their little bodies decide to keep fighting. 🙏🐾

We are doing everything we can for these two babies.

Now we need them to do the rest. 🖤

Please keep these two little fighters in your thoughts. Send them all the love, strength, prayers and positive energy you can.

They already lost their sibling. We desperately want to see these two grow up.

It’s 9:50 PM and I just got home after two very long days at Midsummer Scream in Long Beach.

I’m completely exhausted… but my heart is so full.
This weekend, there were moments when I looked at the incredibly long line of people waiting just for the chance to come inside, sit down, and spend a few minutes with our kitties — and I honestly got emotional.

All those people waiting… for them. 🐾

Rescue can be exhausting. There are sleepless nights, vet visits, emergencies, cleaning, worrying, and so many moments when you wonder how much more you can do.

And then you experience a weekend like this.

You see hundreds of people excited to meet these cats, hold them, hear their stories, and give them love. Suddenly, all that exhaustion feels worth it.

I’m incredibly grateful to Kitten Rescue LA for giving me the opportunity to be part of Midsummer Scream.

Being surrounded by other rescuers, volunteers, supporters, and so many people who simply LOVE cats reminded me of something very important:

We may rescue individually, but we are never truly doing this alone.

Tonight I’m going to sleep exhausted, grateful, and very, very happy.

What an incredible weekend at Midsummer Scream in Long Beach! 🎃🐈‍⬛🖤

I’ve been here all day Saturday and Sunday, and I can truly say I have never seen anything like this. The line to get into the Black Cat Lounge was constantly SO long — hundreds of people waiting patiently just for the chance to come inside, meet the kitties, play with them, cuddle them, and give them some love. 🐾❤️

Seeing that many people excited about spending time with rescue cats — and potentially opening their hearts and homes to adoption — was incredibly gratifying.

Yes, it was a long and exhausting weekend, but watching people’s faces light up when they walked into a room full of cats made every minute worth it. 🥹🐈‍⬛

Thank you to everyone who waited in that incredible line, stopped by, loved on the kitties, asked questions, and considered adoption. You made this weekend very special. 🖤

💎 DIAMOND UPDATE — OUR LITTLE MIRACLE 💎🐾

I just wanted to update everyone about Diamond because I honestly still cannot believe what I’m seeing. ❤️

What a difference 24 hours can make.

Yesterday was one of the scariest days with him. During his procedure, Diamond’s heart stopped and he needed CPR. When he initially wasn’t responding normally afterward, I was even given the heartbreaking suggestion to consider letting him go. 💔

But something inside me told me to give him more time. I trusted my gut, and I am SO grateful I did.

Today, Diamond is basically Diamond again. 😭❤️

He is walking around, using the litter box, responding normally, and acting like himself. There is no more blood coming from his mouth, and everything that terrified me yesterday has stopped.

The only thing we are still working on is his appetite. He isn’t eating very much yet, but after everything his little body went through — including having several infected and broken teeth removed — I’m giving him the time he needs.

To think that yesterday I was terrified I might lose him, and today I’m watching him walk around acting completely normal… I just can’t describe the feeling. 🥹

This cat has already survived so much. He survived life outside after being dump. He survived that terrible wound on his neck. He survived infected and broken teeth. And then his heart stopped — and somehow, he came back to me. 💎

I’m just so, so happy I trusted my instinct and gave him that chance.

Thank you to EVERYONE who sent Diamond love, prayers, positive thoughts and good energy yesterday. I truly felt all of it. ❤️🙏

Diamond, you scared the life out of me… but you’re still here. And that is everything. 🐾💎❤️

A few months ago, a very special cat came into my life.
He was found with a deep, painful cut across his neck, and a kind feeder reached out, hoping I could help. I took him in back in April… and from that moment, it was love!

We thought we were on the road to healing. But something still wasn’t right. Today, I brought him back to the vet, thinking maybe he just needed some cream or follow-up care. What they found broke my heart all over again… severe dental damage, broken teeth, and infection that had been silently hurting him.

They had to remove all the teeth on one side of his mouth. And then… the unthinkable happened. His heart stopped.

This tiny, already fragile boy fought so hard. They were able to bring him back, but for a while, he showed no signs of life. I felt completely helpless… just waiting, hoping, praying.

Now, two and a half hours later, it’s 7:26… and he’s moving. He used the litter box. Small signs, but everything right now.

Please, if you can, send him all your positive thoughts, prayers, and healing energy. He has already fought so much to be here. 🕊️

We’re not giving up on him. 🤍

Today I want to say a huge thank you to Stray Paws Animal Haven for supporting not only owned pets but also rescuers like me!
Because of their generosity and kindness I was able to vaccinate 9 cats today!
I want to take a moment to recognize the amazing people behind this effort. Today was not an easy day. With someone calling in sick, the team was already short-handed. On top of that, here in California
we’re facing an extreme heat wave that made everything even more challenging. But they did not give up. They still showed up for the hundreds of owners and rescuers that were waiting in line under the sun.
Rescuing can be overwhelming sometimes, and the costs add up quickly. Having organizations that step in
and support the community means everything!
Thank you for making this possible and for being there for those who need it most. That kind of dedication, compassion, and commitment is what makes a real difference. These are the people who make rescue possible. Because every fur life matters!!!!

Someone I know spotted a big, beautiful orange cat sitting outside a home in Koreatown. After asking the neighbors, we learned the heartbreaking truth:
his family moved to New York, put the house up for sale, and left him behind outside 😤

This poor guy had been out in the heat for days with no food, no water, and no safe place to go.

We couldn’t walk away.

We are taking him with us, where he will be scanned for a microchip, fully vetted, starting with neutering ⚽️⚽️, and given the care and love he deserves.

We are committed to finding him a forever home where he will never be abandoned again.

Welcome to safety, sweet orange boy.
