🧡 Meet Squeegee 🧡

Squeegee is a 2-year-old sweetheart with a gentle, loving nature and the cutest little face to match. She may be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, her affectionate personality truly shines.

When you come to the shelter, you might not see her right away because Squeegee’s favorite place to be is curled up asleep in her cat tree. But once she decides it’s time to come out and say hello, you’ll discover just how sweet she is.

She loves attention, happily soaks up affection, and is always ready for more pets. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who just needs a moment to feel comfortable, Squeegee might be the perfect match.🧡🐾

💛 Meet Peeps 💛

It breaks our hearts to imagine how a cat this gentle, this loving, and desperate for human companionship was ever left to fend for herself.

Peeps was found sleeping all alone in a cold apartment building hallway. A kind neighbor noticed her and fed her, eventually bringing her to safety at our shelter.

Peeps had a rough start, and she is still a little overwhelmed by the shelter environment. But if you look closely, you will see the absolute sweetest soul.

The moment you show Peeps kindness, her fears melt away. Her true, beautiful personality shines through instantly. She wants nothing more than to rub against you and soak up every single ounce of love you can give her.

Even when she was battling a painful eye ulcer and an ear infection, she was the ultimate model patient. She never scratched or hissed; she just cooperatively let us give her eye drops and ear drops, as if she knew we were trying to help.

Now, her health issues are completely resolved, and she is ready for her forever family. Peeps is just over a year old and has a lifetime of unconditional love left to give. She just needs a home where she can finally feel safe. 🐾🖤🤍

Meet Ficus 🖤🤍

This handsome 2-year-old tuxedo boy has been friendly from the very first day he arrived at The Animal Haven. Found as a stray in New Haven, Ficus quickly showed us just how special he is, not just with people, but with the other cats too.

Ficus has become the “big brother” our younger cats didn’t know they needed. He’s helped shy and nervous cats in the room grow more comfortable with people, showing them that attention and affection aren’t so scary after all. You will regularly find them close by, following each other, cuddling and taking long naps side by side. 🐾

Sweet, social, and always happy to say hello, Ficus is the kind of cat who makes everyone around him feel a little safer and more at home. It’s time he found his forever home 🐾🖤.

🎉 May Adoption Recap 🎉

What a month it has been at The Animal Haven! Many of our cats and dogs found their forever homes and started exciting new chapters. Playful pups and kittens, sweet seniors, shy cats who just needed a chance, and some of our longtime residents finally found the homes they’ve been waiting for.

To everyone who adopted, fostered, shared our posts, or cheered our animals on from afar — thank you. Every like, comment, and share helps more people see our animals and increases their chances of finding a family.
