Meet Humpty Dumpty!
And unlike the nursery rhyme… this boy is READY to put himself back together again with a forever family ❤️
Humpty Dumpty is a 1-year-old Pitbull with one mission in life: LOVE EVERYONE with his entire body, soul, and approximately 500 pounds of enthusiasm packed into one wiggly dog.
To say this boy is happy would be an understatement. Humpty is over-the-top, full-throttle, “OH MY GOSH A HUMAN!!!” excited every single time he sees people. His tail never stops wagging, his whole body wiggles with joy, and he truly believes every person he meets wants to be his new best friend.
So… how did he get the name Humpty Dumpty?
Well, we’ll leave that to your imagination …but lets just say his excitement came out in some very awkward ways. 😅
Thankfully, with structure and guidance, Humpty has been learning better manners every day. But at his core, he’s still a big, silly, overly enthusiastic young dog who needs someone committed to continuing his training and helping him channel all that excitement appropriately.
Humpty Dumpty is looking for:
🏡 A home with children who are over the age of 12 due to his over the top excitement
🐾 An adopter with breed experience
💪 Someone who understands strong, energetic dogs and can provide consistency, boundaries, and continued training
❤️ A family willing to love a dog who may be a little “extra,” but means well every single second of the day
Underneath all the chaos and comedy is a dog who truly just wants connection. Humpty isn’t trying to be difficult - he’s simply bursting with excitement and still learning how to exist in the world politely.
He deserves someone who sees beyond the goofy behavior and recognizes the incredibly loving dog underneath it all.
Because once Humpty loves you… he LOVES you with his whole heart.

If you are interested in him, feel free to come down to the shelter and fill out an application, or go to our website to fill one out. If you have any other questions please call us at 508-995-6661

Update: Tuna is home safe and sound! Thank you all for sharing and helping us reunite her with her family. Your compassion and quick response are truly appreciated. We are so grateful for our amazing community!

We need the community's help! On Friday, April 24th Tuna slipped out of her house in the Seabury Heights neighborhood area in Dartmouth. Tuna is super friendly and will come up to you if you call her name. If you spot her, call the number on the poster or call Dartmouth Animal Control. Please share this post so we can get Tuna home!!
