Shade helps protect pets from direct sunlight, but it doesn't eliminate the risks of hot, humid weather. Pets can still overheat, even when they're out of the sun.

Watch your pet, not just the shade! If you notice heavy panting, excessive drooling, weakness, vomiting, or they're simply not acting like themselves, they may be experiencing heat stress. Seek veterinary care right away if you're concerned.
