Turtle turned 1 in May and was tested for Alliance of Therapy Dogs shortly after. She has been doing so well on visits but today she really blew me away. We visited a new senior living center and we were there for about an hour. We sat in a circle of chairs with various people over the hour and had a lovely visit.

She visited everyone individually and stayed still for petting. She continued to ask for pets. She visited with various ages from children to senior, people with wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. She definitely made some fans. 🫶 She still has not met a stranger, which is so interesting to me, as you don’t find that as often as people think.

We took the girls to the pool today (and Hip Hop)! They had lots of fun. I don’t think Shelby realized where she was going and just wanted her sister. Hip Hop got in on his own twice. And Orio is just a fish. 🤣

1 year and we braved a trial therapy dog visit! I’ve really seen a shift in her behaviors these last couple months so I trusted her to at least end on a good note. I figured the beginning might be a little more exciting and then she’d level off, but she said mom, hold my water bowl, and showed me how much she’s grown. She rocked it!

She loved absolutely everyone, she took the cadence yelling and marching in stride, and she handled the heat like a pro. She’s everything I was hoping for and more. I think we are almost ready for testing. 🫶

The noodles brought home some loot this weekend! A quick recap from what I can remember:
Disco:
Her first time in the grand champion class
1st in level 2 (off leash rally)
1st in standard level 1 and full house rally (Zoe ran her in standard)
Raced great through 3 programs at 8 years old!

Hip Hop:
Qualified in rally
Had fun playing FEO agility
Took first place in open smooth dogs
Had fun racing in 3 programs

Tortellini:
Had fun in FEO agility
1st place puppy intro rally
4th place in puppy 9-12 b**ch
Qualified to race when she’s old enough
First full 200 yards in muzzle and was one fast puppy!!!!
