Super proud of this girl! We’ve been working on our Rally Excellent AKC title for a while… we don’t get many chances to do it. So this morning we made our way to Wellford SC to try for our last Q. I showed up and the building was packed so no place to crate O inside. So I checked in and walked her around the yard to potty. We did a few warm ups outside and I loaded her back up. Went inside to do a walk thru and watch the B class go. When it was time I grabbed her and in we went. With a total of only 45 seconds in the building before we entered the ring, she blew me away. Her nose didn’t hit the ground once and the only points off we got were a half a sit in our back 3 steps. The judge said she loved her and she was an amazing worker.

Proud to say we grabbed our RE title with a 98/100 and first place out of 3 ❤️❤️❤️ I miss playing rally more often with her. 🫶

Turtle turned 1 in May and was tested for Alliance of Therapy Dogs shortly after. She has been doing so well on visits but today she really blew me away. We visited a new senior living center and we were there for about an hour. We sat in a circle of chairs with various people over the hour and had a lovely visit.

She visited everyone individually and stayed still for petting. She continued to ask for pets. She visited with various ages from children to senior, people with wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. She definitely made some fans. 🫶 She still has not met a stranger, which is so interesting to me, as you don’t find that as often as people think.

Congratulations to MBKC member Monica Callahan and Orio - Orio just obtained the Therapy Dog Excellent title (THDX) which is 200 therapy visits!!! Thank you both for the work you are doing ❤️🐾❤️

We took the girls to the pool today (and Hip Hop)! They had lots of fun. I don’t think Shelby realized where she was going and just wanted her sister. Hip Hop got in on his own twice. And Orio is just a fish. 🤣

1 year and we braved a trial therapy dog visit! I’ve really seen a shift in her behaviors these last couple months so I trusted her to at least end on a good note. I figured the beginning might be a little more exciting and then she’d level off, but she said mom, hold my water bowl, and showed me how much she’s grown. She rocked it!

She loved absolutely everyone, she took the cadence yelling and marching in stride, and she handled the heat like a pro. She’s everything I was hoping for and more. I think we are almost ready for testing. 🫶
