Don't worry—the seasonal closures at the dog park are short; they won't last fur-ever.

Beginning May 5, the dog park will close Monday mornings, from 7 to 9 a.m., for mowing and field maintenance. Weather permitting, these closures will take place weekly through late summer.

The dog park will close November 18-29 for the construction of a new path. We look forward to welcoming our furry friends back to the park later this month!

Dog Park Friends, just a heads up that tomorrow, Thursday April 27th, from 1:30pm to 2:30 pm we will have about 30 students from Pisgah Forest Elementary School at the dog park helping the City plant some trees for Arbor Day. The park will be open and the children well supervised. Just didn’t want anyone to be surprised!

Dog Park is open and ready for our fur-friends to enjoy after a week of maintenance by our Public Works Department. A big thank you to the PW guys who removed 8 dead trees, brought in dirt to fill some low spots, refreshed the mulch and reseeded some areas!

ATTENTION....We will be closing the Dog Park from March 13 through 17th in order to remove the dead trees. We had hoped that many of these trees would survive the construction of the park but their roots were just too damaged. So, our public works crew will be taking them down during these dates. Sorry for the inconvenience but we need to get this maintenance done.
