One of our favorite vets, Dr. Chris White, is continuing to make great strides elevating care for his patients and sharing his knowledge with horse owners everywhere.

📣 SPEAKER FOCUS 📣

Dr Chris White DVM is a native of Central Maine, where he grew up competing in barrel racing with his Quarter Horses. At 18, DR White moved to Prince Edward Island Canada, and eventually got his DVM from the Atlantic Veterinary College.
After completing an internship at the Equine Clinic at OakenCroft in Upstate, New York, he went on to practiced ambulatory medicine in New England and Atlantic Canada. Currently Dr White is the sports medicine consultant at Cornwallis Veterinarians in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada, where he focuses on lameness and imaging of the performance horse.
Dr White is happily married to his equine veterinarian wife, and they (somehow) manage to work peacefully in the same practice. He is also the equipment specialist for SOUND Imaging in Canada, and loves working with other practices to improve their diagnostic imaging capabilities.
When not under a horse or visiting clinics, you can find Chris visiting one of the many wonderful wineries of the Annapolis Valley, reluctantly exercising at the gym, or searching for the perfect karaoke bar.

Happiest of birthdays to The always smiling . Whether she’s snuggling a foal or comforting an anxious patient, her positivity shines through in every aspect. We are so fortunate that she’s been sharing her knowledge, her veterinary talent, her horsemanship and her mad baking skills with us all for several years and we are truly grateful. If you catch her on the road this week, she’s a Starbucks fan! Please join us in wishing her a very happy day and the very best year ahead.

Please join us in wishing our fearless leader, Dr. Erickson, a very special birthday. Her tireless efforts (seriously the lady doesn’t sleep) to provide outstanding care to each of the patients entrusted to us make her one of the very best. Whether it’s staying up all night delivering foals, middle of the night emergencies or just her typical long days on the road, you won’t find anyone with a more “patient above all else” approach. Although she limits her practice to horses, we thought we’d give you a little peek into some equine alternatives that also bring a smile to her face. Happy Birthday doc!

After graduating from the Veterinary Technology Program at UMASS Amherst and passing the National Veterinary Technician Exam, Sydney has been showcasing her talents with our TNT Equine patients.

When she’s not working tirelessly to keep our patients healthy or juggling the many hats she wears, she’s at home with her beautiful girl, Bing and a pack of ridiculously cute Frenchies.

In honor of veterinary technician week we are turning the spotlight on some of the incredible folks that make shine. Vanessa Coleman! 🌟

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on the incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated Vanessa Coleman!

Originally a proud Jersey girl, Vanessa has been with the TNT team since our early days and has played an essential role in shaping who we are today. For the past several years (or maybe decades 😉), she’s been making a lasting impact on veterinarians and their patients across Maine and New Hampshire.

Vanessa’s story began with horseback rides through the back roads of Exeter, NH—roads she now navigates like our very own built-in GPS! Her calm demeanor, steady hand, and unmatched ability to read any situation make her a trusted source of wisdom and a calming presence for both clients and patients alike.

When Vanessa first entered the field of veterinary medicine, she was manually running and reading chemistry differentials—long before in-house labs were even a thing. Her vast experience and adaptability are just a few of the many reasons we’re so lucky to have her on our team.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys a peaceful moment with a good book, chocolate, tending to her garden, and spending time with her beloved crew—her horses, her cats, the ever-sweet Australian Shepherd Arya, and of course, her short-legged Corgi boss, Bren. 🐾

When you’re “takes on the first try every time” mare struggles to get pregnant, it’s time to consult with your veterinarian.

Mare obesity during gestation and lactation can negatively impact the resulting foal.

This is why it’s important that we are examining your horse before vaccinating!

🌡️ During a routine physical exam, Dr. Cassandra Shores was surprised to discover the 15 year old grade gelding had a fever. Due to the fever, Dr. Shores opted to postpone vaccinating the horse until his immune system was healthy enough to respond to the vaccines. Further diagnostics were performed to determine the cause of the fever. And appropriate treatment was initiated. The gelding was vaccinated at a later date.

🩺 Fortunately, the fever was caught early due to Dr. Cassandra Shores performing a physical exam prior to administering vaccines.

Today we are celebrating a very special birthday with one of our core staff members. Special Agent Oso turns 15 years old today. He's been greeting folks and shaking down the delivery drivers for cookies the entire time. We are grateful for his careful oversight and can't wait to celebrate him today.
