Position: Part-Time Kennel Technician
About the Role:
As a Kennel Technician, you will be a crucial part of our daily operations, ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of all the dogs under our care. This is a hands-on position requiring energy, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Animal Care: Feeding, providing fresh water, administering medications (if necessary), and monitoring the behavior and health of all dogs.
Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintaining the cleanliness of kennels, play yards, and common areas; ensuring a sanitary and comfortable environment through thorough cleaning and disinfecting.
Supervision: Actively supervising group play sessions to ensure safe and positive interactions between dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Guest Services: Assisting with check-ins and check-outs as needed, and providing excellent customer service to pet parents.
Schedule & Requirements:
Employment Type: Part-Time
Availability: Must be available to work on weekends. You will be on a rotating schedule with our current staff, so you are not required to work every weekend, but flexibility is essential.
Experience: Prior experience working in a professional setting with dogs (e.g., vet clinic, shelter, previous boarding facility) is a significant plus but is not required. We are happy to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a commitment to animal welfare.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, be on your feet for extended periods, and handle dogs of all breeds and sizes.
