Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful moms on our team. 💐🐾

Every day, these incredible women give so much of themselves to the pets and families we care for. They work long hours, handle difficult and emotional cases, support pet families, and provide compassionate care when it matters most…all while balancing the responsibilities of motherhood and family at home.

Today, we especially want to recognize:
Amanda, Areta, Chelsea, Dr. Emily Redden, Sam, Raven, Rosalie, Heather, and Jen.

Thank you for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring to our hospital every single day. The care you give to your patients, clients, coworkers, and families does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful to have you on our team.

We hope all of the amazing moms in our hospital family have a very happy and well-deserved Mother’s Day. ❤️

🐾 Patient Spotlight: Gypsy 🐾

Sweet Gypsy came to VERC after experiencing lethargy and vomiting blood at home. Gabbie, one of our wonderful technicians, was part of Gypsy’s care team as she received supportive treatment, including IV fluids for hydration, pain control, anti-nausea medication, and antibiotics.

Gypsy was stable for discharge with medications and close monitoring at home, though ongoing oral bleeding raised concern for an underlying dental issue, and further evaluation with her primary veterinarian for possible dental intervention was recommended.

Thank you to Gypsy’s family for trusting us with her care. We’re wishing this brave girl a smooth and speedy recovery! ❤️

Behind every great doctor is a loyal companion. 🐾

Dr. Linville is hard at work reviewing patient medical records, while his trusted (and very adorable) assistant, Lexie, keeps watch—making sure nothing sneaks up on one of our beloved doctors. 😉🩺

It’s teamwork like this that helps us stay focused, prepared, and ready to provide the highest level of emergency care when your pets need it most.

At VERC, compassion and dedication never clock out. We’re here for you—and your pets—when it matters most. ♥️

❄️ Winter Weather & Pet Safety ❄️

With winter weather moving into Oklahoma, we want to share a few tips to help keep your pets safe and comfortable:

• Limit time outdoors and watch for signs of cold stress (shivering, lifting paws, reluctance to walk)
• Wipe paws after walks to remove ice melt, salt, and chemicals
• Provide warm, dry bedding and keep pets indoors as much as possible
• Check that outdoor water bowls aren’t frozen
• Be mindful of antifreeze spills — even small amounts are highly toxic to pets

If your pet seems “off” or shows any unusual symptoms, please don’t hesitate to reach out. 🐾
