Veterinary Emergency Referral Center We work as an extension of your family Veterinarian, providing state of the art emergency care. Established in 2012 by the founding veterinarian.

In 2018, the Animal Emergency Center of Norman was purchased by 3 Brown Dogs Veterinary Group, owned by Dr. Andrew Diaz. Dr. Diaz had a vision of a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital to meet the needs of Norman in addition to Southeastern, Southwestern and Southern Central Oklahoma to the northern parts of Texas. With a team of expert veterinary professionals bringing the best possible care for your pet in a state of the art veterinary facility, Dr. Diaz's vision is closer to reaching reality. Our skilled veterinary team partners with your family Veterinarian, providing emergency and urgent care for your pet, nights, weekends, and holidays until the point that we open our doors 24/7.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful moms on our team. 💐🐾

Every day, these incredible women give so much of themselves to the pets and families we care for. They work long hours, handle difficult and emotional cases, support pet families, and provide compassionate care when it matters most…all while balancing the responsibilities of motherhood and family at home.

Today, we especially want to recognize:
Amanda, Areta, Chelsea, Dr. Emily Redden, Sam, Raven, Rosalie, Heather, and Jen.

Thank you for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring to our hospital every single day. The care you give to your patients, clients, coworkers, and families does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful to have you on our team.

We hope all of the amazing moms in our hospital family have a very happy and well-deserved Mother’s Day. ❤️

🐾 Patient Spotlight: Gypsy 🐾

Sweet Gypsy came to VERC after experiencing lethargy and vomiting blood at home. Gabbie, one of our wonderful technicians, was part of Gypsy’s care team as she received supportive treatment, including IV fluids for hydration, pain control, anti-nausea medication, and antibiotics.

Gypsy was stable for discharge with medications and close monitoring at home, though ongoing oral bleeding raised concern for an underlying dental issue, and further evaluation with her primary veterinarian for possible dental intervention was recommended.

Thank you to Gypsy’s family for trusting us with her care. We’re wishing this brave girl a smooth and speedy recovery! ❤️

Behind every great doctor is a loyal companion. 🐾

Dr. Linville is hard at work reviewing patient medical records, while his trusted (and very adorable) assistant, Lexie, keeps watch—making sure nothing sneaks up on one of our beloved doctors. 😉🩺

It’s teamwork like this that helps us stay focused, prepared, and ready to provide the highest level of emergency care when your pets need it most.

At VERC, compassion and dedication never clock out. We’re here for you—and your pets—when it matters most. ♥️

•Thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
