Meet Cool American Babe! She is a sweet three year old filly here to be restarted for her second career. She is owned by Family Stone Racing and when she wasn’t fast enough to be competitive, she was retired sound and healthy.

Zoe and Craigslist Carl escorted Tito and I to the big arena for his first ride out of the roundpen!

It’s a lot of work to be a 3 year old unraced racehorse…😂😂😂

It took less than 12 minutes😂😂😂 to get Samson to trot today!

I am on the path of causing Samson to WANT to move, not to move because he is threatened with extrinsic tools.
Without whips and spurs (like he is used to) - it’s going to be a slow process… but we have time!

Tito (Greylux) is the three year old horse I adopted from New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program in April.

As he had recently been castrated when I adopted him, I gave him the last several months to chill out, only playing with him once a week. He came a little aggressively naughty, spooky and very bitey! (None of these were surprises. I knew what I was adopting:)

Well, he still nips at you, but it’s getting way better…😘

This was pretty good today- What a brave boy!

Not much is known about his history, so we are discovering things along the way.

Like- do not leave him unattended with the saddle on. Because he WILL ROLL.
