The City of Norfolk offices, including libraries, The Slover, recreation Centers, Norfolk Animal Care Center, Commissioner of the Revenue, City Treasurer and the Norfolk Courthouse will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, for the Labor Day holiday.

Norfolk beach lifeguards will be on duty at Community Beach Park and Ocean View Beach Park from noon to 6 p.m. daily through the Labor Day holiday. ☀️

There is no trash, recycling or street sweeping service scheduled for Monday, Sept. 7. Requests for bulk waste collection for Tuesday, Sept. 8, must be received before 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4.

Big news!!! All adoption fees are fully funded by City of Norfolk Government and Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center from August 29th - August 31st!

So you can bring home your new best friend at Norfolk Animal Care Center and use that extra money to spoil them!

Adoption Hours are 1:30 to 6:00 pm every day (except closed on Wednesdays)
