🌺 “I woke up like this.” 💅🐈‍⬛

Coco is 9 years old, dressed to impress, and ready to find her forever home! She just needs the right diet and a little extra TLC. 💗

She is declawed in the front & is iffy around dogs but is a sweetheart. She also will need someone who will care for her beautiful dark fluffy coat! 🖤

🎃🏆 WE HAVE A PUMPKIN CARVING CHAMPION! 🏆🎃

The votes are in, and the winner of our Mandatory Fun Pumpkin Carving Contest is… FELICITY! 🎉👏

Our animal care staff work incredibly hard every single day caring for the animals, cleaning kennels, giving medications, sharing cuddles, and doing all the things that keep our shelter running. ❤️🐾 They deserve a little time to step away from the daily chaos, bond as a team, and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun!

And of course, nothing says team bonding quite like a little friendly competition! 😉🎃

Congratulations, Felicity! 🥇 What a fun way to celebrate having you back with us after welcoming your sweet new baby! 👶💕

We’re so glad to have you back, and we hope you enjoyed your return to work being filled with pumpkins, laughter, and just a little competitive spirit! 😂

😂 EXCUSE ME?! I’M TRYING TO PULL MY WEIGHT AROUND HERE! 🧹🐾

Solina would like to file a formal complaint. Apparently, it’s pretty hard to help with the cleaning when the vacuum is BROKEN! 🙄🤣

We love when our residents pitch in and help out while they’re here, but Solina says she can’t be expected to work under these conditions! She has a reputation to uphold, people! 😂

🧹 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🧹

Does anyone have a working vacuum they’d be willing to donate to the shelter? Our floors (and our hardworking four-legged residents) would be eternally grateful! ❤️

Help us get Solina back on the job so she can stop filing complaints with management. 😂🐶

📩 Give us a call or send us a message if you have a vacuum to donate!

🎃👻 MANDATORY FUN: PUMPKIN EDITION! 👻🎃

Who says team bonding has to be boring?! 😂 Our animal shelter crew took a little break from the daily chaos of saving lives, cleaning kennels, and dodging teeth to enjoy some good old-fashioned pumpkin carving! 🎃🧡

Because let’s be honest… you’re never too old to play with pumpkins! And our team definitely brought their A-game! 🏆🤣

Now we need YOUR help! 👀 Which pumpkin deserves the crown? 👑🎃

👇 LIKE the pumpkin you think is the BEST! 👇

We’ll tally up the votes and reveal our winning carver on SATURDAY! 🥇

May the best pumpkin win… and may the losing carvers remember that we still love them anyway. 😉😂

A special THANK YOU to board member Judy Munderloh for supplying the pumpkins!

🐾 Meet Jazz! 💕

Jazz is an almost 2-year-old Lab mix who is basically a four-legged bundle of joy, energy, and love! This girl is always ready to have a good time. Whether she’s playing hard, working hard alongside her favorite shelter staff (just ask Hannah! 😉), or curling up for some well-deserved snuggles at the end of the day, Jazz gives everything she’s got!

She absolutely LOVES other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to an active family. Jazz is happiest when she has something to do, somewhere to go, and people to share her adventures with. She has the playful, goofy personality you’d expect from a Lab and the enthusiasm to keep up with an active household.

🏃‍♀️ Lots of exercise? YES, please!
🐶 Dog-friendly? Absolutely!
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family dog? You bet!
❤️ Snuggles after a busy day? Her favorite!

Jazz is looking for a family who will keep her active, include her in the fun, and then let her crash beside them when the day is done. If you’re looking for a happy, playful companion who is ready to be your adventure buddy and your cuddle buddy, Jazz may be your girl! 🐾💗

ASNN Alumni Pup-date: Blanche!

From life of a breeding dog to life as a treasured pet.

From her family: She is now named Birdie and is doing great. She had no issues in the car and has settled in so far. I think she might sleep for a week in our quiet house. She loves this elevated bed and lets us pet her as much as we want and still wants more. We already love her so much!!

Thanks for keeping her safe until we could get her!!

We had some special visitors last week! Girl Scout Troop 58445 came to tour the shelter, learn about what we do, meet some lovable pets and make them some enrichment toys!

ASNN loves seeing future generations get so excited and care so much for these animals as much a we do. We sure were glad to have them! 🥰🐾🍪
