Some days it’s chaos.
Some days it’s progress.
Today? It’s both.
Building something from the ground up means showing up even when you’re tired, even when it’s messy, even when nobody sees it yet.
But one day… they will.
For Their Love isn’t just dog treats.
It’s purpose. It’s grit. It’s doing things the right way the first time.
And we’re just getting started. 🖤🐾

Big weekend over here for For Their Love 🐾
Growth doesn’t always look flashy… sometimes it looks like:
✔️ New truck to keep things moving
✔️ Supplies and donations coming in
✔️ Expanding the farm that supports it all
✔️ More animals, more purpose, more impact
Every step forward means more ability to provide, create, and give back.
We’re just getting started… and it’s only getting better from here. 🖤

Before the dogs.
Before the chaos.
Before the work.
There’s coffee. 🖤
This right here is how the day starts—local, fresh, and done right.
Huge shoutout to Eastern Shore Coastal Roasting Co. for my favorite blend, and Machipongo Trading Company for always having it ready and grind it fresh, just how I need it.
Because behind every bag of treats, every early morning, and every late night…
there’s a cup of coffee and a whole lot of purpose.

Saturday around here means dirt, dogs, and dough.
Fill dirt getting delivered to help raise and level the land.
Dogs running like it’s their full-time job.
Sourdough baking in the kitchen while engines hum outside.
Everything we build here — the farm, the land, the food — it all feeds into one mission.
Stronger land.
Stronger family.
Stronger food for them.
This is the behind-the-scenes of what “For Their Love” really means.

After a few weeks away in Montana and readjusting back home in Virginia, I’m finally back to work — and the pups couldn’t be happier. 🐟🐾

For Their Love started as a way to turn invasive blue catfish into something good — healthy treats for dogs and cats made with love and purpose.

Thank you to everyone who’s been patient while I was away. Orders, restocks, and new ideas are all in motion again — and yes, the dogs are supervising every step. 😉

Rainy day slowdown 🌧️🐾

The flooding pushed back outdoor work, so I’m making use of the quiet — baking, fermenting, and writing. The pups are never far from my side, even on the stormy days. Just pi**ed off I'm not experimenting with fish treats for them or any kind of treats. They've become so spoiled with their raw food diet that anytime they see the cutting board and my favorite knife, they automatically feel it's for them.

Whether it’s fishing, farming, or rainy-day writing, everything here is always for their love. 💙

Feeding for health isn’t about trends — it’s about biology.

XL Bullies are powerful, muscular dogs that need more than processed kibble to stay healthy. Every ingredient in this bowl has a purpose:
🐟 Blue catfish for omega-3s and lean protein
🥩 Beef liver & heart from the Amish farm for vitamins and taurine
🥛 Goat kefir for gut health
🥬 Spinach, parsley, green beans for micronutrients
🦴 Raw bones for calcium and joint support

At For Their Love, we feed intentionally — because healing starts from the inside out.

"The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." — Psalm 24:1

Every sunrise here is a reminder: this land is a gift, not just to me, but to the generations after me.
From the farm to the water, every project, every catch, every harvest is part of the legacy I’m building for my kids. Sundays remind me — it all belongs to God, and I’m simply here to steward it well.

Raw-fed, real ingredients, and zero apologies.

This week’s meals for the pups: fresh ground beef and turkey, zucchini, green beans, whole eggs (shells and all), food-grade diatomaceous earth, turmeric, and black pepper — because they deserve clean food just like we do. 💪🐕

Triton’s been struggling with skin irritation and coarse fur, so we’re healing it from the inside out. No steroids, no shortcuts. Just anti-inflammatory meals, gut-supportive add-ins, and a paw-washing station at the door.

Next week is fish week, and everything’s caught locally. Because if I wouldn't eat it — neither should they.

At For Their Love, we believe healing starts with what you put in the bowl.

No mystery ingredients. No grains, starches, or fillers. Just real meat, gut-friendly veggies, anti-inflammatory support, and a feeding system that respects your dog’s biology.

Whether we’re making treats or helping other pet parents get started with raw, the goal is always the same: feed them like you love them.

This rain has made it hard to do the work on Ursula that I wanted to. I am cutting out the top of the transom and gutting out the wood. It's in great condition but, I feel safer if it's gutted and I layer it with fiberglass and epoxy, let that harden and do another layer, harden, repeat.
I also get the opportunity to put in the flooring that I want to. Is it necessary? No. But I enjoy being barefoot and it's easier for me with the flooring.
Along with that, my bote-tote, trolling rod holders_and I am so grateful for learning more about trolling. As a primarily surf fisherman, learning to troll has been fun. I get to also put in some lights, and will then do the transducer. I have a kick ass GarminStriker4 to get installed so I can truly take fishing to where I need to.
I am so damn happy and proud of myself!

Phone’s on Do Not Disturb because I’m elbows-deep in building the future of For Their Love—from hooks to hull to healthy pet food.

⚙️ Replacing old string on bait jugs
⚙️ Sharpening or swapping out hooks
⚙️ Gutting Ursula’s transom (she's fine... probably) to fill her with fiberglass + epoxy lasagna for max safety
⚙️ Researching and testing new dog food recipes and launching a cat line: For Their Love, Meow Too
⚙️ Calling in donations + sponsors for a commercial fish processing facility (because blue catfish are invasive, and I’m invasive with ambition too)

All this while still making room for heart-led hustle and feeding the future—yours, theirs, and ours.
