Yesterday at the market, the cutest thing happened. 🥰
A little girl, maybe 5 years old, walked into my booth with a purse hanging confidently from her shoulder. She was checking out all the dog cookies, keychains, and goodies like a seasoned shopper.
She picked up a doggie donut and asked, "How much is this?"
"$5," I told her.
She kept browsing for a bit, then marched right up to the register with her donut. She opened her purse, pulled out her wallet, dug around, and proudly handed me... a nickel. 😆
Not a dollar. Not five dollars. Five cents.
The confidence was unmatched. 😂
So I bagged up her donut, handed it to her, and told her to enjoy her day.
Tee looked at me like I had completely lost my mind. "You know she only gave you 5 cents, right?"
Yep. I knew. But there was no way I was crushing that little entrepreneur's spirit. ❤️
A little while later she came back for more treats and this time paid 50 cents. Progress! 😂
I'm still wondering if her mom ever figured out how that dog ended up with so many treats yesterday. 🤣
Moments like these are worth more than the $4.95 I lost. They remind me why I love doiing markets and why i love having my own business . 🐾💕
