Save the date! 10/10/26 …The annual Timbreblue/Moodyblues Whippet reunion lives on!!

I have taken the baton Sharyn has passed on to me and will be hosting the 2026 annual whippet family reunion this year on October 10th 9am-5pm at an exciting new venue in Chesapeake VA! (near VA Beach)

In addition to our always-enjoyable potluck-picnicking and dog romp and play time, we will also have the opportunity, for anyone interested, to let our dogs try out/practice lure coursing on a small course that is available on the property! I do need to gauge the interest in this to see whether enough dogs would participate to be able to make it worthwhile for the lure operator Evelyn (who’s 81) to do it. She did say she’d be happy to bring the luring equipment and run the lure, but would need 3-4 helpers to help setting up, retying the string when needed, helping the dogs at the start and finish area, and taking down-packing up. She was thinking $25.00 per dog [for minimum of 40 dogs] for the day [as many runs as they want to do].

Alternatively (additionally?) the owner of the facility teaches agility and would love to teach a little agility fun class for us if anyone would be interested in that. I can find out the cost if people are interested!

Yet another exciting offering for this location is the ability to bring an RV and camp overnight. There’s no hookups but a nice RV parking area right by the ring area. They charge $10 a night. If you don’t have an RV but like the idea, check out sites like RV Share…you can have someone that lists their RV that lives locally and they will bring it to the site, set it up, and pick it up when you are done!
Lots of things to think about! But one thing is for sure… you can’t miss this event!!! Please let me know or reply to this post if you’re planning to try to come, and your interest in lure, agility, or camping!

Whippersniffers!!
We had a very successful first scentwork trial weekend! Zeppola and Zuppa both finished their Novice interior titles and got one Q each in exterior, and usually ended up in the top 4 ( of really big fields!)
