I received this post, thought i would share it.
Maestro you kicked Ass. 🫡
Tonight, Mom and I tried a new intermediate obedience class with Robert Livell at Unlimited Obedience .
We walked in not quite knowing what to expect, but I was not worried. We've been to a lot of classes lately and they're usually kinda slow and simple, I get to just chill out after one command and watch everyone else catch up.
But this was different. The moment we found a place to stand, class began and Mom looked down at me with her serious face on.
I looked back at her like "Wtf kind of face is that?"
And then, very quickly, I learned this was... um... real.
For the next hour, it was nonstop. Heeling, auto-sits, downs, stands, stays, recalls, pace changes, chair weaves, distractions, 180s, 270s, 360s, and enough precision work to make my brain start smoking. There was no time to think. Just listen, respond, and keep working.
And I did it! I made mom proud!! I did everything she asked, listened, responded, and actually stayed upright and alert for an entire hour! She didn't think I had the mental capacity or physical stamina to last that long, but get me in the right environment and I showed her I can do it.
The dogs and handlers around us were impressive. Many of them compete, and everyone came ready to work. So, I did too.
Every time Mom asked, I answered. One exercise became another, then another, and before I knew it, we'd made it through the entire class.
Whew!
Mom was proud of me.
(Honestly, I was pretty proud of myself too.)
A huge thank you to Robert Livell and everyone at Unlimited Obedience for welcoming us. We think we may have found exactly the kind of challenge we've been looking for.
Mom says to shout out to Hillis Danes x Dolls , she wants you to know I am a very smart dane.
Now, if you'll excuse me, it is power coma time... I'm exhausted! 😴
