Here at Dusty Jeans Ranch we pride ourselves in providing safe, effective and knowledgeable horsemanship instruction to help get you comfortable in the saddle. So how’s ya’lls day going?

I just spent a couple hours bathing, scrubbing, whitening, unknotting, combing and beautifying this jerk face mostly white gelding of mine (whom I love with all my heart 🙄❤️🤷🏼‍♀️).

I wanted to do a nice photoshoot of him, since he really is a handsome guy underneath his usual layer of pig-pen.

Waited for the perfect lighting, waited for him to dry, waited for Donna to get home to handle him, put off feeding the horses down below an hour so there wouldn’t be distractions...

Got about ten shots on the way to the arena. Told Donna to let him go but be careful because I knew he would want to roll...

Well... I hate fortune telling.

There was no stopping that stop, drop and roll... 💔😭

These are just a couple crappy shots. I did get a handful of decent ones that I’ll put up later.

But as you can see.... yeah. Thanks, Jester. ☹️

First day in bull pen. She scuffed up her hocks a little bit, so she’s a little bit sore behind, but other than that, she’s a cute mover! And was a super good girl today!

I can’t wait to get some more weight and muscle on her.
I’m thinking I will be going with the name Cavalia (if you don’t know the history of the word or show, I included a screenshot of the definition at the end of the photos), but I am not 100% yet. So we’ll try it out and see.
