Volunteer of the Month!⭐️

Bennett has been a volunteer intern with NHA since the beginning of the summer and has been an incredible addition to our team. He has supported our Pawsitive Impact program by processing requests, helped with our Wednesday Community Pet Food Bank, and gathered content for our social media. Bennett is studying psychology and has also completed coursework in K9 behavior and training. Throughout his time with NHA, Bennett has been curious, friendly, adaptable, and always ready to help. He approached rehoming cases with empathy and attention to detail, while also helping identify ways to improve data collection and better serve our community. His strong problem-solving skills, willingness to jump between tasks, and ability to work independently made him an invaluable part of the team. We are so grateful for all of his hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm this summer!

Happy Saturday y’alll!!! 🐾❤️
I am a week late posting about my last dogsitting job, but better late than never! 😉 This was my first job with my new clients, and these sweet babies are absolutely adorable! 🥰 They are so lucky to have found the home they did because they are truly treated like ROYALTY! 👑🐾 And believe me, they deserve every bit of it!
I also had some drop-ins this week, including another new client and some very special ones that I have been incredibly fortunate to care for for the past 2 ½ years! ❤️🐾
I truly love what I do and feel so blessed to have such amazing clients and furbabies who have become a special part of my life. 🥰

Pool season may be winding down, but the real party is just getting started.
It’s almost time for the dogs to take over the Longview Recreation Center pool for the 8th Annual Bark & Splash Bash! On Saturday, September 12, from 9:00–11:30 a.m., pups can paddle, splash, chase tennis balls and show off their best belly flops at 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill.
Hosted by Williamson County Parks & Recreation and Williamson County Animal Center, this tail-wagging tradition gives dogs one last chance to rule the pool while supporting the shelter pets at WCAC.
A few important rules:
Dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccine. Proof will required.
Dogs are the only ones allowed to swim. Human handlers may enter the water only up to waist level.
Handlers must be 18 or older. 1 dog per handler.
Kids must remain on the sidelines.
Registration is required, and spots fill quickly.
Don’t let your dog miss the biggest pool party of the year.
$20 per dog, proceeds benefit WCAC.
