10/8/2026 Running the Dogs.

Big shout out to some good friends and to the wilds for having such amazing employees! We had lost GPS signal/malfunction while running our beagle dogs an they had made it over 3 miles off public land away onto the wilds land. During one of the times I had to turn around attempting to retrieve the last three of our dogs a bolt snapped in my steering box resulting in complete failure of my steering leaving us stranded with slim to none signal. We had been waiting for the tow and arranging a ride with Autumn and Charles Clark to take the crated dogs home and return with my car to retrieve the final 3 dogs. When we heard upwards of 15 coyotes (confirmed by sight later in the night) yipping an howling to the sound of our dogs calling to us. With a lake as far as we could see wide and pure determination to walk out the woods with all living dogs we made the 2 mile treck up the road an down the hill up into the woods. This was no easy task as the weeds were over 5ft high in some areas thicker than snot. We had been just ready to start entering into the woods when Riley who was watching over Straker Lake Cabins as security had begun to help us! That lovely lady stayed for 3 hours helping us recover our dogs as several had been wounded by coyotes an were in hiding. We had retrieve Sam and then Bell while Logan continued the search for Casper after walking the mile out of the woods. I was then given a ride in the back of her truck to mine so we could safely create the dogs. Upon Us reaching my truck I then heard the coyotes baying once more. During this I called Logan to tell them they were yipping again an to hurry during his way back during this he had been surrounded an followed out of the woods by the coyotes while carrying wounded casper. I was transferring the dogs from truck to van thanks to Tiny helping us! With that Riley went back down to help an greet Them! I had rode down with Tiny, we had been greeted by not only Riley but all the lovely folks who had been renting the cabins that evening all cheered for caspers safe recovery! When Logan an Nick rounded the last bend on one of the paths. We are super grateful for such wonderful people, we did not intend to encroach on their cabin stay whatsoever but we are absolutely so grateful that there's still good people out there. All dogs were recovered safely, wounds are being treated nothing is life threatening thankfully. All of our pack got some nice steaks this evening. Wilds

What would you do if someone was trying to pollute your hunting lines?? All about preservation. This was our most recent run in with this lady. She had contacted us in 2025 and in early 2026. We dont do show lines here. Nor do we let any of our dogs go to those who breed them. Neither do we stud to them. This lady has contacted us 3x now wanting to "AKC lease" our females removing our kennel name to take the bloodline as her own. Using a stud from a different state that has no title in the Field and is as she said "is 2.5 years old and green with hunting" lol. On top of this she has attempted to try and get studdings for her show dogs from us as well due to the coloring that some of our boys have. Some people cant take no for an answer.
