Cooler mornings might be on the way, but that doesn't necessarily mean your dog's itching is done for the year.

Fall can still bring environmental allergens that leave some dogs licking their paws, scratching, rubbing their face or dealing with irritated skin and ears.

With exotic pets, the little things can be a big deal.

Eating a little less. Acting quieter than usual. Spending more time hiding. A change in droppings. Moving differently.

Many exotic animals are very good at hiding signs that something is wrong, so knowing what's normal for your pet is especially important.

If your rabbit, reptile, bird or other exotic pet suddenly starts acting a little "off," don't feel like you need to figure out why before calling us.

Sometimes "they're just not acting like themselves" is exactly the information we need to start.

You know how much your pet normally eats. How excited they get for a walk. Where they sleep. How much they drink. How social they are.

Changes in those everyday habits can sometimes be an early clue that something isn't right.

Happy Grandparents Day to all the pet grandparents out there!

You know who you are.

You keep treats at your house just for them. You volunteer to pet-sit. You ask how they're doing on the phone. And there's a pretty good chance you've said, "Don't tell your mom/dad" while handing over an extra snack.

Today we're celebrating the grandmas and grandpas who love their grandpets like family. ❤️
